Re: [vpFREE] Re: Killing the Golden Deuce

You have a really nice Asian lady on your team Frank..she cannot tell a lie ,...The darn jackpot did not get hit yet, as of yesterday 2AM ,when we left with $400 winnings..
However, as most of us that at least know how to play fairly well (Kenny says that I could play pro but, state of mind must be there as well), we could have walked off with more..
but, seeing that I naturally enjoy the game enough to 'pay' for playing at length for excitement and fun reasons as well as the thrill of the win, without the weight or worry of making a living, it is all gravy when we generally play and we use this $ for the charity fund or getting 'that' one thing we've been wanting.

I think though, that I enjoyed staying on at the Casino until I was down - under $50 on my end (as Kenny & I do everything in life as a 'team') and leaving after my last 4 duece's hit on the progressive machines, which, in fact, I have grown very fond of.
It was the same machine that the pretty lady left after running dry ( I saw a lot of loss around these 10 machines as a unit ), that's the way that it happens sometimes, as I have walked away to another machine and seen the machine that I just left, hit it big within minutes after I moved to another machine so, my turn...hehe. I wanted to go back today, to check on the JP but, too tired ! lol..we've been taking some time off for fun & fun is what we had !

I've yet to hit my natural Royal since we moved here in Nov. I am DUE :-). I play fairly quick nowadays, as I develop. I would never go faster than the ability to read the hand fully, before going on to the next. Although, I enjoy it as in 'entertainment value' as well as enjoying 'the win', skill comes first. This way, no questioning 'what if' ?

Questions for anyone  :
would you lie, if you have a book published and or teams, as well, when someone that recognizes you from your (younger, yet you..duh?) asks if you are 'that person' ?   They probably knew, that I knew and just smiled about it, I guess? thinking that they were cute about it or some other delusional ideas.
Life is too short and maturity along with good character - for me to play 'games' with people so, I found it a bit puerile.

More important Question:  A man (sometimes but, rarely a woman), comes & sits beside me, plays two hands, cusses the machine, walks off. I see this quite frequently, to where many, many people sit for maybe one to 4 hands - max & move on. If random is random, common sense says to play the machine for a little while (more like, minimum $25) to get the feel of 'the machine' or whatever, these people feel that they are trying to accomplish ?!
Do you agree with me or are 'you' one of these serial machine jumpers ?
Or, do you understand a logic behind this behavior (besides being low on funds & doing this from desperation) ?

Academy of Country Music Awards (held at MGM?) this year...Anyone have info on this?

..discaimer: Kenny just told me about it as we get tickets for some Movie Premiere's via  association, old & new family friends & I love going to these type of events and Especially for the Fashion part & having opportunity to 'wear; some items that can only be worn to these kinds of events, instead of rotting in the closet. I haven't had time to look up details as I heard of this 'just now' however, I thought that someone here might have some info, already.

I can answer that. The really cool gentleman I talked to considered it at least partly his own fault for running the promo too long, allowing people to figure out how it could be abused. He has such a low opinion of professional gamblers (as it stands now) he expects them to try to cheat, and takes it as a personal failing if they get away with it. I love this guy. I just can't figure out why he's so nice in the face of this kind of behavior.

It makes me nauseous to think that this is what they think of us. "All a bunch of crooks". Is that a label you are happy with?

It's going to be up to the honest gamblers to keep an eye on the bad apples. It's time we start policing our own.

You are correct, they could have prosecuted and they didn't, they only 86ed the ones they caught. They are being really good sports about this, but they won't keep taking it on the chin forever.

Let's all show them we appreciate their attitude, and do unto others as we would have them do unto us!!!
