I last looked at these machines at Addison's Bar a couple of months ago. Then they had six with 25c/50c/$1/$2 9/6 JoB and another six with 9/6 JoB only in $1.

Today the ones that used to have 25c/50c/$1/$2 9/6 JoB have had the JoB removed entirely. The other six still have $1 9/6 JoB.

I didn't look at any other games on them.

RE: [vpFREE] Mystery Points/Free Play

From the information you have cited, it does not say it is random -- so may be random or pre-determined.

If this is an Indian casino, probably not much more can you do.

i got a really bad one as well, 60$ fp down from 120 which was down from 200 previously. Some people are still getting 200 but I think they are using win/loss because when I played last time i crushed them

Re: [vpFREE] Barona Casino Update

On a related note, anyone else get pathetically small mailers from Barona,
or is it just me? I'm thinking it may be because I only live a half hour
away and play a mostly break-even game, but I've been a gold member ($15,000
coin in) for a few months and am probably approaching 50,000 at this point,
and the only mailer I get is $5.00 (five dollars and zero cents) twice a
month. It's completely irrelevant, and so insulting that I wouldn't play
there if they didn't have the only playable game in town. Maybe they realize
that? Do you think I could change their tune by speaking to a rep?

Re: [vpFREE] Barona Casino Update

That's dissapointing. I wonder if they removed it from the 25c, 50c, $1
machines right next to them as well? If so, they just totally killed my
desire to play video poker in San Diego in one fell swoop. It was the only
(BARELY) positive game in SD when you factor in CB and promotions.

[vpFREE] Mystery Points/Free Play

There are casino promotions called Mystery Points or Mystery Free Play where a player is rewarded with a number of points or free play dollars when they either put their card in a machine or swipe at a kiosk, usually with a minimum/maximum number for any given promotion.

Does anyone have any definitive information as to whether the amount a player is awarded is totally random or predetermined by your play, adt, theo, tier status or other criteria?

The question occurred to me because the promos are advertised as, for example, $50-5,000. Now if they were totally predetermined, and player X was going to get the $5,000 but doesn't show up, then its not really $50-5,000 being given away. Its $50-whatever second place is.

Just wondering, and would appreciate info from anyone who might have some knowledge of how these promos work.

Thanks.

RE: [vpFREE] Comps database?

There is a group called casino comps that tried tracking this but there are so many variables to take into consideration for getting an offer from a casino that it is hard.

You might want to join that group.

Re: [vpFREE] Rampart Casino alert

I just received a survey from Terrible's and it was from no other than Michael Gaughan, Jr.
Is this the son or farther?  Looks like Gaughan's company is expanding to take over other casino gaming operations.  We like South Point and as far as I know, payables have not changed there so maybe it will rub off and apply them at other casino's.  Have I got this right?

Most, if not all, of the machines at Addison's Lounge were to be shut down
at 11:30 p.m. tonight for "maintenance." I will try to get there tomorrow
and see if any of the paytables have changed (unless someone gets there
earlier and makes a report). Who knows -- supposedly Michael Gaughan, Jr.
is working for them now -- maybe the paytables will be improved (yeah,
sure!!)

My sept offer was about the same, 3 nights suite, $200 fp, $25 resort credit and all the others.

However, my friend's offer was horrible!! 2 nights and $40 fp.

I found that shocking since she plays at a much higher level than I do.

I'm not sure what is going on there! I hope I don't need to start looking somewhere else.
