I exaggerated to make the point. I don't think it makes the question
useless.

That's not the point. No one would dispute that the M sign and the 20%
off in the example are both inaccurate. The question is, are they worth
caring about? If the actual return never reached 102.5%, then sure, we
have a problem.

On the other hand, if I get something more than what was advertised and
brought me in, it's not something I particularly care about (and I
consider myself pretty OCD). YMMV, I guess.

It is open starting at 4:00 most days and I think 100 on the weekends. Some
limited smacks, not great and yes they serve drinks but you pay for them. Their
VP is some of the best of any Harrah's properties. Good luck Mike

We are going to Harrahs Rincon for a couple of nights in July. Any information
about the Diamond lounge (assuming they have one) would be welcome. Do the serve
any food or snacks, what are the hours and do they serve alcohol? Thank you. Any
other info would be greatfully recieved.

wow, mickey, you know i love you, but... you walk in and kill someone
else's play, just because the owner is a vet? that's really rude.

the owner is beating all his regulars out of 5%. he's not going to
starve because a couple are beating him for 20%, especially ones that
appear not to be playing it too heavily. maybe the husband is a vet
too, ever think about that? or maybe something is going on that you
have no idea about.

speaking personally, profit from my casino play is currently providing
the sole income for a disabled vet. it'd be pretty ironic if someone
were to kill one of my plays because they knew the casino owner was a
vet, and they wanted to support vets.

anyway, this is yet another reason why i don't drink when i play.

best wishes,

five

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Required Listening

Not gambling related (occasionally in the vicinity
though) but nonetheless thought provoking and unique. May not be every
bodies cup of tea. I think it might be up Frank"s alley. I discovered this
show about a 2 years ago. The Night Air
http://www.abc.net.au/rn/nightair/default.htm. From Radio National in
Australia. Thirty minutes of weekly aural enlightenment. What Firesign
Theater was to fiction Night Air is to
topical nonfiction. Occasionally coproduced with the folks at WNYC Radio
Lab. Only archived to last 3 previous episodes. I would suggest changing
your rss setting to download all and save all if you enjoy. Best listened to
late at night on the verge of slumber.

PS. Frank on a side note. Can we please get a rss link for the Gambling with
and Edge show. Kind of a pain manually downloading shows when rss is
available for linkage to iTunes, Zune, Google reader and other rss catching
applications. Thanks for your effort in producing a very interesting show.

We had also been getting quarterly room offers and
FP and had been anxiously waiting to use one for the Holidays last
year but never did come. Haven't received one since.

Not once - in this thread - have I seen anyone 'pitch a fit.' So, the
question is kind of silly. But, I will answer it anyway.

I would say the same thing about the '20% off' store banner that has been
said of the M signs: It is incorrect.

Good on you, Mickey. My uncle was also in WWII on a ship in the Pacific
and I guess the gods were with him - he survived it.
