RE: [vpFREE] Re: New BConnected

10K a day will get you comped rooms at any of the Station Casinos. Red Rock is my personal favorite. You would even qualify for comp rooms on weekends for that amount of play.

You asked about South Point. They appear to base their offers (for locals and non-locals) heavily on actual losses unless you have a really huge amount of video poker coin-in or play a lot of slots. You might be able to get more from a host there but don't expect much.

Anyone have info on Southpoint Casino- room offers , players club etc.

I am looking for another casino as I can see Boyd's is making it difficult for me to afford to fly to Vegas and end up getting stung on being a ruby - and not receive points towards food etc .

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Boyd still confusing me

Saying "tier points" only confuses people.  Saying "tier credits" will help people differ between the two different parts of this new system.

This is the way I understand the point system. The tier points are the card points in the old system and the other points are the comp points or  b-connected points.

It will help people understand this system better if you use the right terms for the two separate systems.  You earn "points" in the "base" system - this is the one where you cash in those points for free play, cash, and comps.  Also this is the one where Ruby does not earn points.  Rate of earning for slots is $1 = 1 point and for VP $2 coin-in = 1 point.

When you are talking about earning for  tiers , you use the term "credits."  Slot players earn 1 tier credit for $5 coin-in.  VP does not have a specific # - it is based on what game you play.

I discuss this more in length in my current blog which also has more information in the comments.

VP is not published, but we all pretty much now know via reverse engineering what the countdowns are for B-Connected (Slot Comp/Freeplay Points).    100%+ games - No points for anyone.   NSUD $180 per point.  9/6 Jacks varying reports of $108 or $128 per point,   8/5 Bonus Poker $60 per point.    Tier Point Theo Countdowns based on perfect play and 2 points = $1 of Theo.   From that you can reverse engineer the whole thing for any machine.   Note, I would not be surprised if Tier Point Theoreticals are not the same as the theo's you accumulate in the player rating system for the purposes of discretionary comps or for deciding what mail to send you.   They may base your tier on 8/5 Bonus Poker by assuming a 99.17 game payback, but you may still be accumulating ADT based on some higher "typical play" theoretical.    Who knows?    Eventually some very smart players will all find out everything and reverse engineer how best to get the maximum bang for our gambling dollar.     Boyd has really shot themselves in the foot here.        The 11x points promotion is for B-Connected Points, not tier points.    Thus if you have a Ruby card you get nothing except tier points.

Re: [vpFREE] Sapphire renewal at BConnected

Sapphire will be good for one year. Tier points are reset to zero at end of year. Hopefully they will be hurt by this change and be forced to loosen up.

Does anyone know how long the Sapphire card will be good for?  I thought it used to be a rolling 12 month period in which you needed to play through 25000. I realize everything changes with their new system. Will everything be reset at the end of the year?  Curious as to how Boyd Casinos plan to survive when they are going to make it so difficult to attain higher card levels and give nothing to Ruby cardholders??

[vpFREE] Re: New BConnected

I've been Emerald for a couple of years and was receiving at least $75 free play each month along with four free buffets. now I get $35 free play and one buy one get one free buffet. Since $1500 coin in will only earn 2 or 3 tier points I won't qualify for gift days or free meals for earning 40 tier points. Next year I won't even be able to qualify for a Sapphire card. I think I have been told to go away.
