[vpFREE] Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs mailers, free play?

Are there any Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs players here who may be able to verify what kind of rewards they get from play?

While the video poker there has poor pay tables (the best I have seen for jacks or better is 97.3% with a starting bet of $1 or $5 for 5-coin play), Tuesdays through this month have a double point day which -- according to employees at the casino -- doubles both tier score and comps and counts as if players actually were to play enough to score 2 points without the promotion [so it's not just a doubling of comps and not tier score].

It's difficult, though, to find how mailers/free play works at this casino. I was able to verify, through several employees, that $300 coin in on video poker yields one tier point which would essentially be $300 for 2 tier points on Tuesdays or $150 per point. Rewards such as free play and mailers, I was told by employees, is based on average play which is based on -- again according to an employee -- rates per play, average bet, and average time spent playing.

Mohegan Sun at Pocono downs also has two levels of status beyond the starting status: elite and sagamore. Elite, under this promotion, would only take $18,750 coin-in and sagamore would take $63,750 coin-in. Perhaps -- although employees have not verified this -- higher levels of status yield more rewards such as play through mailers and free play.

Any thoughts on this casino and this 2x points promotion? Anyone here play and receive mailers from the casino which may -- although it's a long shot -- make this an advantage play or close to it?

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Total Rewards 10X Points Promotion

Every $5 thru on slots and $10 thru on VP (some machines in AC $20) earn 1
Tier Credit toward your status score. When you reach 500/1000/2500 earned
Tier Credits in a day you get 125/1000/5000 extra Tier Credits added which
count toward Status Score ONLY (5000 max). In addition, let's day you
earned 1054 Tier Credits - you would get 2,054 Tier Credits total with the
earning bonus toward your Status AND you would also get $10.54 in Reward
Credits which are your Comps - these can be used for food, spa, hotel
charges, shopping and can be converted to free play as well. This $10.54
would be what is multiplied on the 10X promo which would give you an
additional $105.40 in available comps once they post to your account -
usually within 10 business days. There would be no additional change to
your Tier Score for Status.

It seems I have made a mistake because coin-in converts to reward credits,
not a bonus award of tier points. The bonus reward credits from the
promotion, however, can convert to free play.

Are the earned comps, though, separate from reward credits? I'm confused by
the VPfree player's club explanation of Total Rewards.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Total Rewards 10X Points Promotion

Bonus go toward your tier score (the 125, 1000 or 5000). The 10X is toward
reward pts i.e. comps

[vpFREE] Serious warning on Belterra Casino supervisor

On Friday August 9th my wife and I were playing video poker at Belterra in Florence, IN. After she fed in a coupon with $62 she realized the machine was broken and you couldn't adjust credits bet and it was set to bet 44 credits. The cashout button also didn't work.

She called a technician who then called a supervisor that said that he would return her "two dollars" even though it displayed sixty-two dollars on the screen. The supervisor also wanted her to hit deal on the machine and waste those 44 credits first.

After she said "no you won't give me two dollars, you will return my sixty-two dollars" the supervisor said nothing. The technician came to her defense as did I and he opened the machine and returned her $62. Had it not been for an honest technician, a tough woman, and myself all calling bullshit on this supervisor Belterra would have stolen $60 from her.

If a casino can't offer an honest game then it doesn't deserve any play at all. We won't be returning to Belterra. They only have a couple of 9/6 JoB and so many of their machines are broken to boot. The nicer casinos in Michigan, like Greektown, will continue to get our future play as they have in the past.
