Are there any Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs players here who may be able to verify what kind of rewards they get from play?
While the video poker there has poor pay tables (the best I have seen for jacks or better is 97.3% with a starting bet of $1 or $5 for 5-coin play), Tuesdays through this month have a double point day which -- according to employees at the casino -- doubles both tier score and comps and counts as if players actually were to play enough to score 2 points without the promotion [so it's not just a doubling of comps and not tier score].
It's difficult, though, to find how mailers/free play works at this casino. I was able to verify, through several employees, that $300 coin in on video poker yields one tier point which would essentially be $300 for 2 tier points on Tuesdays or $150 per point. Rewards such as free play and mailers, I was told by employees, is based on average play which is based on -- again according to an employee -- rates per play, average bet, and average time spent playing.
Mohegan Sun at Pocono downs also has two levels of status beyond the starting status: elite and sagamore. Elite, under this promotion, would only take $18,750 coin-in and sagamore would take $63,750 coin-in. Perhaps -- although employees have not verified this -- higher levels of status yield more rewards such as play through mailers and free play.
Any thoughts on this casino and this 2x points promotion? Anyone here play and receive mailers from the casino which may -- although it's a long shot -- make this an advantage play or close to it?
