I stopped in tonight. Boothlings still claim to know nothing about yesterday's problem and swear the promo ended last week They were very very unhelpful. I finally got the name and number of a management person to contact tomorrow. It appears their financial problems have driven away all the good employees.

You did better than me. I went to the booth before playing (around 10 am),
asked about the Pick Your Poison promo. Boothling said it ended last week.
Period, amen, end of discussion. No offer of free play.

[vpFREE] Just received my giant 7 Stars event package for Las Vegas
$100 in free play or a casino gift. No airfare, no dining credits. Just 3 nights and $100 free play. My tier last year was 125,000. I know another AC local whose tier was 150,000. He received the same offer. Sorry, I'm not going to play 9/6 Double Double Bonus to get an airfare allowance. I just never mastered hitting 4 aces with a kicker everytime I play.

RE: [vpFREE] : Hard Rock LV Kiosk Game
They must have "turned it on" sometime during the day. I went in the morning
and the boothling said too bad we're not doing it today but here's some free
play for your troubles. Then I got a phone call from the Hard Rock around
noon that I was not able to answer and they did not leave a message. But
sure enough, when I went back to eat that evening I checked the kiosk
because of the HR missed call and sure enough the shot glasses were there.
Kudos to them for trying to get in touch with me and let me know.

This reply is only partially relevant and on the primary issue shouldn't be relied on. I was hoping Bob Dancer would remember the episode and provide the answer. I heard all the radio shows Bob referenced and I think Bob Nersesian provided the answer regarding credits left in the machine, and it was different than most of the explanations I have read on vpFREE and VPmail. I think the answer is that money left in a machine can be cashed out by another party from an empty machine, without playing a hand or spin.
Since I may be wrong I will attempt to review the taped radio shows for an answer.
