Re: [vpFREE] Re: Station Casinos

I entered a complaint. They said they are aware of the issues, that a large
number of players cards cannot access the system, but as of now
they have no idea how to fix it....Tom
PS - I now can understand why they are bankrupt

I'm able to do well here because, except for the one player I mentioned, the rest of the so called machine players with half a clue here are of low caliber. They know a play of two, but they don't know the whole story.

Anyone can look at a six-spot keno progressive, write down the numbers and go run it online on the Wizard of Odds keno calculaor to see where they are at. That is, if it's a conventional keno game. But what if it's a three-way game. Like six-spot progressive with a bonus round involved. What if, after you punch in your six-spot and start playing, the machine makes 7 picks every game. You have to hit at least four out of the seven machines picks plus a pay in your six-spot to get into the bonus round. Guess what, you ain't going to run to the Wiz to figure it out.

Now you are looking at a 13-spot with one way of 7 and one way of 6. It's easy to run a 13 spot on available software to get the chances of 7/13, 8/13/, 9/13, 10/13, 11/13, 12/13, 13/13. But who's going to tell you how many permutations make 4/7 with 3/6, 4/6, 5/6, 6/6? Who's going to tell you how many permutations make 5/7 with 3/6, 4/6, 5/6, 6/6? Who's going to tell how how many permutations make 6/7 with 3/6, 4/6, 5/6, 6/6., etc., so you can figure out the frequency for getting into the bonus round? Your just gonna have to sit down with a calculator and a notepad and figure it out yourself. That is, if you know how to do it.

And the bonus round is free games with multipliers. The free games can be anywhere from 1 to 25 games. The multipliers can range from 2X to 25X. And it's all weighted random. Who's gonna figure out the average value of the bonus round for you?

It's what separates the real pros from the poser pros. And, brothers and sisters, I ain't no poser pro. That's my edge here in Montana. I know how to do all of the above. The rest of the pack here in Montana don't.

Of the nine plays I have I need every damn one of them to make a decent earn. I enjoy some great hourly rates on rather low wagers but there is consideraable scounting time involved to find the plays. I work poker, keno, and line games. They come in three forms: progressive, banking, progressive/banking.

My smallest play by earn is a little play that's worth $10 on a $1.80 wager. It only takes a couple of minutes to play it off. But I only get about 100 plays a year on the game.

My biggest hourly rate is $420 on a $1400 an hour wager. Each play is a $105 earn on a $350 wager....and only takes about 15 minutes to play off. Unfortunately, I only get 20 to 25 plays a year at the game.

The hourly rates for the rest of the games varies from $40 to $100 an hour. But that's seat time. Like I said, there is considerable time invested in finding the plays.

My plays are not known in the conventional machine pro world. And I'm not about to give anyone the details. But I would hate to see someone like Frank Kneeland show up. He's a better mathematican than me. He would figure it all out quickly.

[vpFREE] Montana AP Life

Someone asked me a question about Montana AP life and I can't find the post. They said they were in Montana in the mid-nineties and there was nothing here. So here goes about Montana AP life:

For starters how do you like long brutal winters. Do you like trudging thru 2 feet of snow when it's ten below and wind chills going to minus 35?

The key event since the nineties is Montana legalized multi-game machines in 1999. That changed things up considerably. Machines today can have anywhere from 12 to 30+ games on them, with most being at 20+. With the various manufacturers involved there are approximately 200 different games on the machines. But, currently, I can only exploit 9 games for profit.

Bob Dancer is the King of the Mountain in Nevada, but here in Montana I'm the King of the Mountain. I'm the biggest earner here because no other machine player in the state can match me for sheer knowledge and skill. There is only one player here close to me. I've known him for 12 years. He's a real Nevada machine pro. He's doesn't have the math down like I do but he's damn good. Him and I don't get along anymore. We haven't talked in a year and a half. I stay out of his territory and he stays out of mine. The rest of the pack is far below us in knowledge and skill.

I haven't left Montana if five years but I've been on a perpetual road trip inside Montana for the whole time. A week in this town, two weeks in that town, a month in that town. Around and around and around we go.

[vpFREE] Re: Odds of back to back Aces

At 8/5 BP your chances of hitting back to back four Aces in your lifetime is a function of how much you play.

Your chances of hitting back to back four Aces on your next two hands is 5106 squared.

After hitting four aces your chances of hitting them on the next hand is 5106.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Odds of back to back Aces

Was the odds of hitting back to back aces in billions?

Frank's description & question were clear. His wife hit back-to-back quad Aces and he did not say whether they were dealt or not. When identifying hands to other video poker players, that means both were not dealt. And neither did he mean "what were the odds of his wife hitting them like that during her lifetime". His question asked only what the odds are of hitting quad Aces back-to-back.

As someone to whom Aces have meant a LOT during my playing career, I congratulate her for seeing them on consecutive hands. I never have.

Both of the previous answers address back-to-back aces ON THE NEXT TWO HANDS. If you look at the odds of receiving them sometime in your life the number is quite a bit smaller --- perhaps as low as even money for long-term players. Bob

I believe Ernie's answer is for back-to-back dealt aces. Dealt aces have a cycle of 54,145.

She hit 4 Aces on back to back hands. Can anyone tell me what the odds are of that happening?

[vpFREE] Re: Odds of back to back Aces

If the cycle is 25 million hands (5000^2) then the half way even money point is about 2/3rd's of that or about 17 million hands. At the rate of a million hands per year, 1000 hours at 1000 hands per hour, that would be 17 years. Of course someone like the bucket brothers plays 4000 hours at 3000 hands per hour for 12 million hands per year, so he would get there in about 17 months.
