The River Run starts in a few days. This means a lot of people and profit for the entire town. They see no need to offer good vp plays with all the people willing to play anything. Hopefully, those plays will return after the last of the bikers are gone?

[vpFREE] REPORTING GAMING ON INCOME TAX
I haven't done my 2010 yet but I remember the prompt in the 2009 version of
Turbotax did come up. However, when I went back to see it again, it did
not come up so I switched from Interview mode to Forms (via View menu) to see
the amount in Schedule A.
I used a spreadsheet to track my sessions. Since the situation usually
occurs where W2G & 1099-MISC income is exceeded by your losses, it's a good
idea to:
1. track these items with individual columns on your spreadsheet
2. sum up each item (W2G & 1099-MISC) & what you enter for W2G &
1099-MISC should match these sums
3. if you have a lot (say more than 20), ask the IRS for copies
(usually in Sep or later because it takes them that long before the info is
downloaded into the local offices) so that you can check for any omissions (then
file a revision if you find any) this is not a necessary step but doing
this makes your records match the IRS' & lowers the chance of audit
4. by having the sums in step 2, then it should be an easy job to
figure out (in winning years) what the total is for Other Income from non-W2G &
non-1099-MISC.
Tip: if you know how to use pivot tables & keep a continuous log for all
years, it makes it easy to do all the things above & to do comparisons by
year, game, casino, etc.

audit me anyhow? . I did have one 2000 dollar hit.

[vpFREE] Re: Online Poker Apocalypse
Am on my biweekly review of email so sorry if this has already been posted.
The following may answer a lot of questions. BTW, Harrahs has been on both
sides of this question & I wouldn't be surprised if some of the players
pulled some strings to have the carpet removed.

I had a gut feeling Warner would take out all the 99% or higher games. In Vegas
change is bad. Just a gut feeling they are going to move toward a slot parlor. I
was there last weekend and Mr. Lucky's prices were raised 25% or more. My recent
mailer had no free play or free food offerings. They also haven't had a slot
tourney in years.

I haven't seen these myself, but someone reported to vpFREE2 that the 25c 3/5 play JoB have been moved to near the Luxe Bar. That's the big round bar near the garage entrance.
When the new owners Brookfield Real Estate Finance Fund II took over last month, they hired Warner Gaming to manage the casino. William Warner and some of his associates were formerly with Station Casinos.
[vpFREE] deutsche banks 4 billion lv bet...
Deutsche Bank was one of the key players in the 2007 Financial Crisis.
Their active participation in enabling the explosion of credit default swaps
(CDS) helped to lead to the popping of the real estate bubble which would
have happened later anyway but the sheet volume of CDS' prompted bailouts
which you & I are paying for. It's ironic justice that they are in this
situation with Cosmopolitan but this bet, even if it went to zero, doesn't even
come close to the pain they've caused.

"JUST"???
I've been asked to rank pro VP difficulty and frequently rated it somewhere around playing piano at the good bar-player level. I stand by that rating.
It's very hard, but yes 6-figures is not uncommon for the cream of the crop.
No one in that interview you listened to makes less, and "Larry" likely makes more. More telling is that is has been all those folks sole support for 20+ years and one's quitting.

Craigslist, an add in the lvrj, a post on dicedealer.com, an email to the girl who runs cocktaildoll.com, a talk with the unions to find a willing retired girl.
Just promise anonymity.
If we found out about our great progressive president Kennedy assasinating world leaders I THINK we can get an anonymous interview with an ex cocktail waitress somewhere....

[vpFREE] Bad news
All of our sponsors have refused to provide cocktails waitresses for the purposes of interviews. All waitresses I've talked to that work for other casinos have said that they can't talk about their jobs, either out of fear for their jobs, or due to actual contractual obligations against it.
The casino industry seems to have a tight lid on the cocktail profession preventing them from discussing their jobs in a public forum.
This leaves us with finding ex-cocktail waitresses to appear. Of course since they aren't on the floor anywhere in plain sight, I'm not sure how to track down prospective guests.
If you all want this to happen I need your suggestions.
