I'd wait for a bit more, but yes I'd play it as long as you don't mind losing on your way to large progressive jackpots. They more than make up, but it takes some getting used to if you are more familiar with the swings on non-progressives--Small cost and small jackpots

Re: [vpFREE] Valley View Casino Inventory
They have DW44 spin poker there at the .25 cent level.

In VPFree2, it lists a .25 JoB and DW44 10 Play.... location unknown. Do
you know if this exists? Where is it? I looked last time I was there, but
did not find it.

[vpFREE] Re: High Variance Opportunity
The money is in the drawing, not the video poker game.
[vpFREE] Re: High Variance Opportunity
I thought I made it clear. Yes, there is a winner EVERY time. You are eligible if you have your card and money in a machine, slot or vp. They draw 4 times per hour for 7 hours. 5pm to midnight friday and saturday. 11 am - 5pm Sunday. Triple points Monday, 3 TVs on Tuesday. 20 drawings (every half hour) for $75 each wedn. and thurs from noon to 10pm.

All machines qualify but this is the off season so when winter hits and the weather is bad, I will still want to go there as there will be a better than normal chance. $750 an hour in hots seats, and there may only be 50 people or less in the casino. I won one last winter, with only 10 people in the casino. All slot and vp machines are eligible. Coin has to be in the machine. they draw on the fifteen and 30 minute mark exactly so you only have to have money in a few minutes before each drawing if you wish. $75 on weekdays and $250 on weekends. Money gets put automatically on the players card. the person doesn't even have to hear his name called. As far as the nickel bet, the house doesn't care at all. It is a good idea and I may try it tonight. There are well over 100 slot machines in the house, but I am going to count them tonight.

On each drawing do they draw until there is a winner? If you are playing against 19 other players then your equity in a $75 drawing would be $3.75 X 2 drawings per hour or $7.50 per hour. This is a big add-on relative to your total wager per hour (550 hands per hour X .25 = $137.50 per hour total wager. $7.50/$137.50 = a 5.45% add-on.

If the royal resets at $200 and it's just a 1% meter you're probably gonna have to wait a pretty good while to get another decent play on the bank. Assuming every hand gets bet 25 cents the royal has to miss about 150,000 games to put it on $580.

Do all the machines in the casino qualify for the hot seat drawing or just the bank you play on. Is it a progressive type drawing; if no one is in a seat that gets called does the amount of money go up for the next drawing? What determines whether you get $75 or $250.

On days where the progressive is low what is to keep someone from just betting a nickel a hand (you might not want the house to catch on to this) and trying to snap off the drawing? I'm sorry. It's the hustler in me. But it might be the way to go.

Game is 99.5% + .5%=100% on single point days, 101% on triple point days. Variance is around 180. If i don't hit the royal or a straight flush I will be down in the 89-92% area on simulations. They also have hot seat drawings on single point days every 15 minutes or so from $75 -$250 every 15-30 minutes depending on the day. I played 3 hours yesterday, and won a $75 hot seat. Had to play off the $75 one time through and collected $65 of it. I average 550 hands per hour, but the slot club points didn't accumulate when I was playing off my $75 bonus. I played around 1200 hands (not counting the free play) and lost $27.00. So $300 through machine and lost $27, puts me at 91% return, no SF's, RF's , and 3-4k, which is just a bit above average for 1200 hands. Net gain with hotseat was $38.00, Should I stay with it or should I go?

It's actually a pretty good low roller play with the royal at $580 jand the cashback and hot seat drawing thrown in. But the problem is future plays. it is 6/5 jacks or better , which is 95% , but with the jackpot at $580 it is now 99.5%. My bankroll is sufficient. progressive accumulates at the rate of 1c with every dollar in.

A return of ~99.5% implies 9/6 Jacks or Better, but you stated the game is 6/5. Which is it?
[vpFREE] Re: High Variance Opportunity
I'd love to help answer this, especially since it involves a progressive, but despite having provided and immense about of information you have left out three key factors which we would need to answer the question.
1. Your bankroll
2. The meter-rise of the progressive
3. The availability of relief shifts for you on the progressive
Note: Your return does not go down as a result of failure to hit jackpots like Royal Flushes. It can't. Return is calculated prior to play and irrespective of results. You seem to be confusing outcomes with expectancy, or perhaps it just sounded that way because of your wording. The return is what it is. Your results are another matter entirely.
