five miles, four lanes squeezed down to two!

Got a good price on rental at hot wire, got a chevy Impala for 9 days for
$19.99 a day ($275 total with taxes)...thru Hertz

[vpFREE] Crystal cruise ships

Has anyone taken a cruise lately on the Crystal Serenity or Symphony? I have an offer through my national host. I would like to play VP of course but I doubt there is anything good. I might have to brush up on BJ. Rules are 6 deck hand shuffle, blackjack pays 3:2, dealer stands on all 17, double down any 2 cards. What's the house edge?

[vpFREE] Re: Spin Poker

Spin Poker vs regular three lines.

In spin poker using only one deck of cards and playing 3 lines. Dealt 3 cards of the same value.
There are six spaces to catch the 4th card. However, catching one eliminates the 4 spaces on the other 2 lines from catching the fourth card. The max 4 of a kind is 1 for this deal.

In regular 3 lines, each line has it's own deck of cards, (minus the 5 dealt cards).
There are 2 spaces on each line to catch the fourth card, however, catching one does not eliminate the four spaces on the other 2 lines from catching a fourth card. There is the possibility that all three lines could have 4 of a kind. The max 4 of a kinds could be 3 for this deal.

Playing 9 lines in spin poker, catching the fourth card will give 3, 4, or five 4 of a kinds, while 10 lines of regular might only catch 1 or 2 lines of 4 of a kind.

Wizard of Odds states odds and strategy are exactly the same as conventional video poker. However the chart shows a much higher standard deviation for 9 lines vs 3 lines.

It would appear that the odds are not the same when playing three lines, because the 4th card cannot be on all 3 lines.

Does playing 9 lines per deal in spin poker, vs 10 lines regular poker, reduce this advantage regular 3 lines has over 3 lines of spin poker?

If one plays spin poker, is it prudent to only play 9 lines?

Subject:[vpFREE] Gold Strike in Jean, NV

Stopped in today. New management has taken over and new name Is Terrible's Road House. Old slot cards no longer work. Slot points from old card (free slot play) are transferred to new card, but not comps. You must keep old card and can still redeem old comps at gift shop, steak house, or hotel for now. I was told old comps can no longer be used for gas. Buffet has been closed and is now a Denny's. You still generate comps and free play on the new slot card. No literature available yet, but FP rate was still 0.1% on machine I played.

They are doing away with coin droppers and attendant pays and are going 100% TITO. The casino floor is like 2/3 empty. I suppose it is possible they have taken some of the old machine off site to install TITO, but I think it is much more likely they are gone permanently. Gone are the 25c FPDW, WHA, 16/11 DW, and $5 9/6 JoB.
