Outside Nevada that rate of 0.075% for cashback on VP or 0.15% for comps is
sadly fairly normal. In the Chicago Area where I am from, cashback is
generally 0.1% on VP though the Ameristar is 0.0625% for VP but 0.125% on
comps. Casinos sometimes have multiplier days. Also sometimes have
"bounceback" offers (mailers) for free play. One of the biggest puzzles for
vp players is to figure out the actual value of these, especially as some
casinos vary the amounts of this on whether you previously won or lost. the
Majestic Star (Gary IN) is one of the properties I am a vpfree monitor at,
halves the value of cashback for its lowest card level. That is not uncommon
so you must be aware of it.

Subject: [vpFREE] I am at L'auberge du lack in Lake Charles, LA
I have not been here in over a year and they have since switched to a new
player card structure. It's still called "MyChoice" but now there are more
tiers.
The points are still 1 point for every $10 of Vp play however so far the
comp rate seems very low and the first host i spoke with was not much help.
After about $2000 coin in i checked and he said i had about $3 built up for
use at restaurants and whatnot...if i wanted to play it on the machine it
would only be worth half of that. Do those numbers seem normal? I'm still
kinda new to Vp. I'm used to playing at the blackjack table for 2 hours at
$25/hand and then asking for 2 buffet comps...which is usually not a problem
at this casino.
I played some $1 JoB last night as there are still plenty of full pay
machines available. Let me know if you're looking for an update on a
particular game and i'll do some searching.

I just looked at your vpFREE account and you haven't gotten any
messages because you are signed up for "No Email".
You can change that by going to the vpFREE homepage, clicking on
"Edit Membership" and selecting the message delivery option you
would like.

LVA Question of the Day - 9 SEP 2011
Q: I'm always amazed by the high number of entrants for the
expensive football contests, which I know can be attributed
to the pros pursuing the big prizes and notoriety (a la
Fezzik's back-to-back Hilton wins). Do these same pros also
play all the low-entry-fee and free contests?
