It's hard to give a useful answer to this without knowing what games and denominations you want to play, but a lot of out of towners seem to like the Boyd-owned properties - Orleans, Gold Coast, Sam's Town, Suncoast, Main Street Station, California and the Fremont.

Since messages to you aren't bouncing, here are some more ideas.

Check your Yahoo mail spam folder. Any missing messages there?

Check your Yahoo mail list of blocked addresses. Recognize any email
addresses or domain names there that posted missing vpFREE messages?

Check with your ISP, some of which block messages as suspected spam.

Questions: are there just 12 cards in the CSM (Red 1, Red 2,..., Red 6, Blue 1, Blue 2,..., Blue 6), or are there multiples of each number?

If there are multiples, are the 12 cards put right back into the CSM (and have just as much chance of being dealt in the next "roll" as the cards still in the machine)?

If the answers are "there are multiples" and "the cards are not put back into the CSM before the next draw," then the probability of a particular number (1-6) showing up on a card after the first "roll" is no longer necessarily 1/6.

I asked the same question on The Wizard's site and received a very thorough and amazing answer from someone called Crystal Math who is obviously very talented. Here is a link to the thread:

I have no reason to believe the game you describe is beatable --- hence my recommendation is you don't play.

[vpFREE] Re: Laying Odds

Hello.

FWIIW, the "wizard of odds" web-pages have an extensive section on craps with "proper strategy" being a large part of what is said. I learned a great deal, with a bit of careful reading and study, raising my confidence in giving craps a shot.

There is even a simulator that lets you practice what you've learned, again to increase confidence if you decide to actually play.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Laying Odds

Bob, thank you so much for responding to my last post. I love to play
craps, but seldom do because of the house advantage. I was so happy to read
your column on Tuesday, and plan to learn this new advantage play. Here's
another question:

The local casino offers cards craps, but their was of dealing sounds a bit
different from the way you described. The CSM randomly deals 6 red cards
and 6 blue cards , each numbered 1-6. The "shooter" calls out a number, and
the dealer chooses the first red card from that number then the first blue
card. For example, if the shooter calls 3, the dealer would pick the 3rd
red card and then the 3rd blue card. It seems to me that there is just as
much a probability of doubles, etc as a roll of two dice.

Please tell me the flaw in my reasoning and that I can play advantage craps!

[vpFREE] 2012 vpFREE Hall of Fame Election

In 2002 the vpFREE Video Poker Group elected and inducted
five charter members into the vpFREE VIDEO POKER HALL OF
FAME, which recognizes and honors those who have made
significant contributions to the playing, understanding and
popularity of video poker. These charter members and the
2003 through 2008 inductees are:

Gary Catlin
Bob Dancer
Lenny Frome
Skip Hughes
Dan Paymar
Si Redd
Jean Scott
TomSki
Michael "The Wizard of Odds" Shackleford
Stanford Wong
Dean Zamzow

These members are honored on the Hall of Fame web site:

http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1955/20228/V/HOF.htm

Hall of Fame elections are now held every four years (years
evenly divisible by four) and a nominee must get more than
33% of the votes cast (every vpFREE member has one vote) in
order to be inducted. If no one receives more than 33% of
the votes cast, there will not be an inductee that year.

The 2012 Hall of Fame election will be conducted between 8
December and 22 December 2012.

For additional Hall of Fame information, see FAQ #60:

http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1955/20228/V/FAQ.htm#60

The vpFREE Administrative Committee has selected the following
nominees for the 2012 Hall of Fame election:

Linda Boyd
Jazbo Burns
Jeffrey Compton
Anthony Curtis
Liam Daily
Larry DeMar
Dunbar
Elliot Frome
John Grochowski
Art "5-card" Harris
Steve Jacobs
J.B.
John "Lodestone" Kelly
Frank Kneeland
Scot Krause
Hans "Tuna" Lund

Harry Porter
vpFREE2 Administrator

The 2012 Nominee web page which lists the nominees and a
short, video poker relevant biography can be viewed at:

http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1955/20228/V/HOFN.htm

Between now and 8 December, additional nominees can be
suggested by vpFREE members (along with their
qualifications), and the merits of anyone's favorite can be
expounded and discussed. Any suggested nominee(s) who
receive majority approval from the Administrative Committee
will be added to the list of nominees.

[vpFREE] vpFREE Posting Guidelines - 1 DEC 2012

vpFREE Posting Guidelines - 1 DEC 2012

http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1955/20228/V/POL_P.htm

1. Everyone should read and be familiar with the vpFREE
FAQ before posting messages on vpFREE Forums.

2. Every message's subject line should accurately identify
the content of the message, to facilitate faster navigation
by interested or uninterested members.

3. If you reply to a message and change the subject matter,
either start a new thread (preferable) with a new subject
line or rename the subject line to reflect its new focus.

4. When replying to messages, quote just enough of the
previous post to maintain continuity. Delete the rest of
the previous post.

5. When replying to messages, clearly differentiate the
previous message(s) from your comments, so that it will be
easy to identify who wrote what.

6. Never post lengthy copyrighted material verbatim without
permission. This includes posts from non-vpFREE internet
forums. Instead, post a link to the material and/or a
summary. Short, credited excerpts may be quoted.

7. Don't use any vpFREE member's real name, even their
first name, on any vpFREE forum unless they themselves use
their real name there.

8. As a spam prevention measure, no one can upload to the
Files Directory on the vpFREE home page unless they get
temporary upload access from the Administrator.

9. Casino personnel probably monitor vpFREE Groups so posts
containing sensitive information should take this into
consideration.

10. Members are expected to observe the rules of
Netiquette , and to practice politeness and show good taste
in their vpFREE posts.

11. Any post that disagrees with vpFREE Dogma and
reaches contradictory conclusions, should be supported with
significant, persuasive documentation. Generalizations and
limited anecdotal evidence aren't persuasive.

12. Most vpFREE members rely on the forum for accurate
information, and may misunderstand, misinterpret or be
confused by tongue-in-cheek posts which are presented as
fact. Always make it very clear in your posts if they are
tongue-in-cheek, by using "smilies", stating that you're
kidding or something similar.

13. Use FREEvpFREE for any political, religious, or smoking
vs. non-smoking discussions. Non-partisan status reports
about smoking and non-smoking availability in casinos are OK
on vpFREE.

14. If you have Yahoo administrative problems, send a
private email to the Administrator, after you have checked
the vpFREE Yahoo! Administrative Problems Directory.

15. Let the Administrator do the administrating. Send any
comments, questions, suggestions or disagreements about
vpFREE policies or procedures to the Administrator via
private email or post them on FREEvpFREE.

XVP Re: [vpFREE] VPFREE messages not coming through.

Thanks for the help. I didn't know about bouncing.

The history is good - only 5 messages bounced in 4 years.

Since I posted last night the only mssg received was
my original post. I've missed everything else (6 more mssgs)
including your reply.

I've had to go to yahoo! groups to see the vpfree content.
