I don't understand all vp get the same amount of points for dollar in, except some places where the EV is 100% or over?
Therefore with these games JOB should be the most efficient?

If x is the percentage payback you get for your points, then BP is better than JB when
99.17 + 2x > 99.54 + x, or when x > 0.37%.

Similarly, DDB is better than JB when x > 0.14% and DDB is better than BP when x > 0.063%.
What percent payback do you get on your points?

Even if so, you need a lot more information to decide which game to play. At Caesars, different games have different "theoreticals." Your mailers are based on the theoretical earned --- not on how many points you've accumulated. How many points you've earned affects your tier status, but not your rewards.

a far better question is: for $10,000 coin-in (or any other fixed amount), what is my expected loss and what kind of offers can I expect to get. This requires you to keep meticulous records --- and also realize that it's forever going to be a moving target that you're trying to zero in on. But at least this gives you better insight than just "how much does it cost to earn one point?"

You might want to take a look at the vpfree2 data base.  In Atlantic City, the four Caesars properties have different coin-in requirements for different machines based on game and/or denomination.

I believe the original poster's question is based on the Caesars properties in Atlantic City.

[vpFREE] Another step for video gaming machines in PA?

"HARRISBURG - A Luzerne County lawmaker has introduced a bill to legalize video gaming machines as Harrisburg prepares for the biggest debate over gambling expansion in a decade.

The comprehensive measure sponsored by Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, would enable restaurants, bars and clubs with liquor licenses to operate up to three video gaming machines. The video gaming machines would be connected to the Pennsylvania Lottery's Central Computer to provide for online tracking of revenue collections. Pashinski said the state revenue controls are an important part of his legislation.

Pashinski proposes to allocate 45 percent of total revenue for school property tax rebates with a 23 percent share going to the licensee, 22 percent share to licensed vendors, five percent for host municipalities and five percent to licensed casinos. He said those percentages can be negotiated if the bill makes headway in the House."

http://citizensvoice.com/news/pashinski-pushes-video-gaming-bill-1.1610393

There has been talk of this in 2013, but no legislation concerning video gaming -- as far as I know -- was passed. Small games of chance, though, were narrowly approved.

Re: [vpFREE] Math Question Concerning Point Ratio

If points were or becomes irrelevant than the question would be unnecessary because most know what their games long run return is supposed to be.

If the question is "which game costs the least to earn a point?", then I think Ralph is right that the answer is independent of point value.

The cost of a point is just the CoinIn required to earn a point times the EV of the game.   So, using the original 50/25/10 stipulation for the 3 games ...

the cost of earning a point with 9/6 JOB is $50 x -0.46% = 23 cents.
the cost of earning a point with 8/5 BP is $25 x -0.83% = 21 cents.
the cost of earning a point with 9/6 DDB is $10 x -1.02% = 10 cents.

So, 9/6 DDB is by far the least costly game to play if your goal is to earn a certain number of points.
