[vpFREE] RE: M Resort - new slot card system?
I just looked at their site and saw this:
"Video Poker players will enjoy payouts of up to 100% return and the best progressives."

[vpFREE] Luxor Question
Hi,
I'll be in LV for 3 nights this coming weekend.
Was wondering if the VPFree2 database was still accurate ? In particular it lists $1 8/5 BP single line play as being located in several banks. When last in LV this past summer I passed through the Luxor. The casino floor was undergoing renovation and I didn't locate several banks; only a group of about 3 machines.
Anyone have the latest info ?
Thanks,
Larry F.

I went to their web site looking for the # of points required for free buffet and then wandered around a bit. I followed this link:

I might be interested in this coupon. Where us the Quad? Is that the
newly reopened Lady Luck? Are there restrictions for weekends?

Fox got the money from my insurance company, but they will never get anymore from me or anyone else I can steer away from them.

Using this formula you get the following results for games at the dollar level ($5/hand):
50% RoR: $33,650
25% RoR: $67,300
10% RoR: $111,775

In fact, Pick'em was the reason I created DRA-VP in the first place. I wanted to know how much money I needed to bring with me on a weekend trip to Mohegan Sun. I knew from the jazbo/sorokin formula how much money I'd need to play Pick'em indefinitely, but how much did I need if I wanted to play the game for 16 hours? I created an Excel sheet to get the answer, and then thought others might find it useful, too.

Greetings from Southeastern Wisconsin. In my local casino, there is a bank of $1 near full pay (1195 instead of 1199 for a straight flush) Pick 'em Poker returning 99.9510% with a variance of 14.995645 and a 0.125% cash back slot club. All things considered, it should be a positive EV game 24/7.
Here's my question: what is the risk of ruin at 50%, 25%, 10% etc.? I cannot find a RoR calculator for Pick 'em Poker anywhere online.
If anyone has any idea on where to find one or has the drive to make one, I think that would help the community immensely.
Thanks

You should purchase DRA, Dunbar's Risk Analyzer program. I think it is available through LVA and gambler' s book club. It's worth many times the $20 price. It will answer all of your questions about the game in question.
PE is a funny game. Even though the long test variance is fairly low, you can lose a ton on money between quads ( about every 2300 hands). Dunbar's program will show you that you should not give up the day job for this play.
Also, the 99.9531% is for the game with 1199 SF. With an 1195 SF, the return is 99.9510%. Don't worry too much about the 0.0021% difference.

Too bad it was only in nickels! However it was a Progressive with 3x points .5% slot club. The EV was 100.3% today, that is why I was playing it. Dealt AKQJ10 hearts.
This is the one of the only 100+% opportunities in Deadwood, SD. Odds are 77,968,800 to one. But you already knew that!
Truly a once in a lifetime event for me, I am sure.

We really enjoyed Harrah's NOL a few days before the cruise as it is one of the few CET casino's with 9/6 JOB and 8/5 Bonus and the slots we still like. The Jewel was very nice, especially if you are someone who doesn't like the new 4,000 passenger class of RCL & NCL ships. (We don't mind, this Saturday we are going on the Epic (for our 10th time) with the Cosmopolitan casino group.
One bitter sweet thing was they can now open the casino on the Jewel immediately upon leaving NOL and keep it open all night of the return even though you are not in international waters for 8 hours. They now have a special exemption. The bad side of that is the payouts on the ship are the same as all ships, which is terrible, so you will loose big on the ship if you gamble a lot.
I sure do hope they don't downgrade the remaining good VP and slots in NOL.

But seeing as how it was a free cruise except for port charges and taxes I would go again and most likely will as Laughlin is giving away more cruises next month plus Harrahs let me hit a royal on my last day.

A few questions about the Jewel... Were you able to draw cash from your ship account which would later be reflected as a regular charge on your credit card?
There's usually not much for me to do on a ship's casino, so I tend to pass time with their tournaments and poker game. I assume they had these? Dealer or electronic table? Rake? It's usually huge.
Good on board entertainment? Good or bad experiences in ports?

The cost per person for NCF and taxes is about $300 for Caribbean from NOla, and from Seattle for Alaska is about $450 per person. Single people only pay once. On top of that add $12 per day per person for gratuities billed at the end of the trip to your room. Also any liquor, shore excursions, gambling, etc are extra. Drinks in the casino are free. I figure the discount with the certificate comes to about a half price cruise.
