Re: [vpFREE] formerly called Great Free New Contest, still a great free contest

Just makes me wonder if someone had his appearance fees cut off.  And I don't mean that with any disrespect.  Just curious.

So your argument seems to be that if it's "free" then it's "great". My
argument is that nothing with a value of pennies is "great." To each his
own, I suppose. Bob

---I have no argument. Just presenting a "great" free contest. I know you
like the attention, Bob, but doggoneit, sometimes things are just "fun!" It
will be pretty "great" for the winner who just took a few seconds to click a
button or write a few comments! Good luck! Btw, just curious about where
you were driving to save all that valuable "time and gas" you spoke of by
entering an online contest? Was that an "over-my-head" metaphor? Geez, Bob,
lighten up! Where's Frank when we need him?? J Better yet, have Shirley
take a "pot shot" at the contest! Ya never know what might happen!
(wink-wink!) LOL. If all else fails, you got some nice material for your
"blog!" Pretty cool EV, huh? J

I guess my "to each his own" is for all the people playing that Harrah's
contest day and night for the past 3 months trying to win a $10 comp!
Yikes!

I don't understand what makes this a "great" contest. Do you have any information as to how many entries are required for them to give away a certificate? When I looked at it, it appeared that they had 182 entries so far and that wasn't enough to qualify for one certificate. That implies each entry is worth less than $1. It may be free to enter, but if you value your time and gas, this is a negative EV situation. Why should anyone bother? Bob

[vpFREE] Stations surprise mailer

My only activity with Stations in 2012 was:
3/16 very small action on slot machine, winning $38
5/12 maybe $500 action on quarter FPDW, winning $15
May card swipes 1 @ Red Rock, 1 @ Green Valley
buffet for 2 @ Green Valley using old points

My June mailer from Stations offers 6 points/$
for VP, 10 points/$ on slots every day. Also
8 generous bonus play days. The total far
exceeds mailers from competing casinos I have
given hundreds of times greater action.

I'm amazed by the generosity of this notoriously
stingy casino group.

Please don't ask for more details as I don't
think it is appropriate to discuss in public.

G'luck all,
Gamb00ler

[vpFREE] Re: Gender bounce back differences?

That's pretty standard, that's why a lot of men use their spouse's or significant other's or daughter's or sister's cards. Bounce back is also based on race.

My wife and I have only played at this property once and were playing the same game next to each other, we both ran a tinge over $30,000 through the machines and we both ended up within $100 of break even. Now her bounce back offers are double of what mine are (accounts are considered independent). Because of this weird fluke it seems that the only variable is gender, anyone know if all/many casinos give better offers to those players simply because they have two X chromosomes?

I had a similar experience to this at Colorado Belle in Laughlin.
