[vpFREE] Re: Which would you rather play?

Depends on if you're trying to grow a gambling bankroll (to take on the bigger challenges) or if you just want the cashflow. If you're trying to grow a bankroll, the answer is the Kelly system, and that information is available at George Patton's alma mater:

I think I've seen a couple over at Skyline. But isn't it something like
98% or so at best?

[vpFREE] Which would you rather play?

Assuming everything has a 2% cashback
The only thing that varies is the comp accrual (comp can only be used to pay for food)
Let's also assume you MUST play $10k coin-in, in a 24 hour period

50c Single-Line with .35% comp
(Choice of games is: 10/6/40DDB, 9/6JoB, 8/5BP, 8/5AcesFaces)

25c Triple-Play with .35% comp
(Only game is 8/5BP SuperTimesPay)

5c Ten-Play with .25% comp
(Only game is 9/6JoB)

It's hard because the 99.95% DDB with .35% SEEMS like the best play, but I dunno if my bankroll could stand the variance...
But with .25% comp on 9/6JoB I wouldn't have as much comp dollars..but my bankroll could withstand it.
No matter what, for every $10k I go through in a 24 hour period, I get $200 in cash (up to $800 a month or $40k coin in)

I'm sure most of you have seen California Split, but here's a link I found anyway to the opening scene on youtube. It's about 10 minutes long. Trust me, this was Gardena. Whoever wrote this scene captured the personalities so well. Ahh, those were the days. Good times.

[vpFREE] Henderson Casino's

Stetson's on Boulder Highway in the Smith's plaza looked closed a few days ago for 1 night. No lights on and no cars (always only a few) were parked. I drove past it again on Tuesday and it looked deserted again. The top of the sign was lit, but the Stetson's name was not. I did not see any cars again.

Mystic Casino has changed it's name to My Casino. I believe they had to change since they were being sued about their name.

[vpFREE] The Little Old Ladies of Gardena

Bob Bartops's line about the "little old lady that hasn't bluffed since the Truman Administration" reminded me of a story I once read about Johnny Moss.

Sometime in the 1950's a $400-$800 California Lowball game broke out at the Desert Inn. It was an ongoing game and there was so much money in play that some of the guys were bringing their money in in cardboard boxes.

Johhny Moss wanted to tag the game but the problem was he had never played California Lowball--and he wasn't gonna dump a bunch of money to learn how to play. He knew about the little old ladies of Gardena. They had a reputation as tough ass $20 lowball players. So tough that the guys didn't like playing with them, so they mainly played among themselves.

Moss went to Gardena and sat in with the little old ladies for a week. They must have taught him pretty good because he went back to the Desert Inn and wound up busting the $400-$800 game.
