I'm not sure how long this deal has been out there but holy smokes!, for
the locals here in las vegas this one is 5X as good as the Tropicana
sign up promo. Just judging from the info listed on the website it
looks to be run about the same way as the Trop's sign up bonus at least.
If this is legit than I am very glad I didn't sign up just to receive a
free buffet in October. Has anyone done this promo? Is it like the
Trop's?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking...but the lower comp dollar accrual might not be so good...

I play triple play progressives a lot and I see people show up, play DDB, and then leave at some point, busted, while I'm still playing with my original amount. Not always, but many times. If I have a short timeframe I will go for more volatile games hoping I can hit something big in that short time.

[vpFREE] Can the revel survive?
Went to Revel 3 times this past week.
On Tue. I went in to make a dinner reservation for dinner Wed. My first visit. No one really knew what was going on. I walked around and around trying to find a place. We got the Mussel bar. It was great. 100 bottled beers and 16 on draft. All our meals were excellent. If you go ask for Oy (correct spelling) to be your wait person. I found my way out OK
Wed we went for our excellent dinner, but had a terrible time finding it. Went with a slot player whop went ape at the place as it has all the newest games and you can bget on them. We did Gonzilla where the chairs vibrate. It was fun. We played about 5 hours in two days and earned $11 dollars. I dont know if that was good or not.
I can imagine who will come to the place in the winter. It is 500 yards from Showboat and at least that far from the jitney stop. People will freeze in the winter. They should get toe jitney to go to their front door as it does with most other casinos.
For the males and trendy women the Gonzilla machine is just outside the bar where they have pole dancers. The place was packed both nights.
The crowd was unusual. Very friendly and very young.
We went looking for the Michel Richard Central, but it was not open. he is my favorite chef.
We were there with friends from Chicago and ate at Atlantic grill and Mias as well.
Has anyone commented that the peculiar nature at revel are because they dont really were not encouraged to compete with other casinos head on, as a part of the deal to get the place built?
No High roller club, No high roller table area (There were a lot of $5 tables when we were there) There is a high roller slot area with incredible video ceiling. No asian outreach.
cheers
henry
Highlight of the trip for me was $6000 in Royals.

On-going...however, with the way the economy is, who knows...
I've had a 2% cashback for two years already...

If so, I'd play the Single Line JoB until bored, then mix in some STP. If it's a short term gig, I'd stick to the Single Line JoB. If it's short term and the amenities suck, I'd give up some of the comps and play it safe with the Ten Play.

Just my humble 2 cents.
When I play for longevity to reach a certain amount of points or want to play for an extended time, I play the least volatile game I can find. Using your choices, I would play the .10 10 Play 9/6 JOB. I understand (secondhand) that many games were changed at Hollywood Aurora.
This source said he could no longer find the $5 9-7DB at that location.
I will not be going there anytime soon so could somebody please check and if
needed, update the database.

LVA Question of the Day - 20 APR 2012
Q: Further to your recent QoD about the -- to date -- failed
plan to relocate the Star Trek Experience in downtown Las
Vegas, I recently read something about how there was
formerly a much more elaborate proposal for an
Enterprise-themed attraction, but that the Fremont Street
Experience won out. Any truth to that story and, if so,
care to elaborate
