I discovered that same thing while practicing Bonus Poker Deluxe, but I didn't know it applied to 8-5 JoB also. I do now. Thanks.

Actually in 5/8 Job you break the Jack off the Ace and hold the Jack on high progressives. It becomes quite common on quarter progressives with the RF over $2,800.

[vpFREE] Re: South Point Update
Everyone and their brother is playing the car a day giveaway at the SP this month. More or less everyone knows about the SP bar progressives. It's getting a RF cycle of play everyday anyway.
I didn't see the harm in mentioning that it would be a better place to get your 1250 daily points until it hits.
It's an exception not the rule. Obviously I realize I can't post high progressives all the time without inviting burn-out.

[vpFREE] An interesting hand - Bonus Poker Progressive
I was playing around and practicing on software Bonus Poker with a progressive, and came upon a "mistake" that I thought was interesting after I figured out why it was what it was.
Take 8-5 Bonus Poker, set the royal at 7000, and the hand is AHT86. The H can be any face card. The Ace must have no flush penalty. And the 86 can be suited or not, or 87 or 97, whatever, but it cannot have a wheel card.
Keeping the Ace by itself is more valuable than keeping the AH. The AH is penalized by the Ten, and there must be no flush penalty or wheel penalty for the Ace.
I just thought it was kinda cool.

Just my thoughts on it, that doesn't mean I'm right.

[vpFREE] Re: South Point Update
And in mailer news, I'm getting a whopping $20 in FP (their "E" mailer) at SP after putting 45K through in March and 85K in April.
Meanwhile places where I play 1/2 as much I'm getting $120-$180 FP.
Love the SP, best location for me, but thats just bad that a player can go from an "A" to an "E". Just got to vote with my feet I guess.

From my visit today to both Encore and Wynn, it appears that the 9/6 JoB have also now been removed from all machines out on the casino floor.
[vpFREE] Re: Changing Machines
I tried it as well today just for fun. 30-min and -$1,000 in my play I declared "machine change" and amazingly my "new machine" hit 5 four of a kinds and a straight flush in the next half hour.
Good thing "I moved" huh?
I wonder how many people will read this and think I actually moved machines due to losses?

[vpFREE] Re: re winning tax fight
I'm not sure on your exact situation but I had about 10k in jackpots in Louisiana and got about 90% of my LA taxes back. The check came in the mail today, which is surprising as many states take 3-6 months for any payment. This is just an FYI for people who are unsure of whether to file non-resident or not.
