Ok, please excuse this rare XXVP post... I
I know there's at least a few VP hustlers still banging on the MGM-Mirage properties in LV (I've seen you there...don't deny it...haha)
I'm looking for either (1) or (2) tickets to the fight at MGM Grand this coming Saturday, May 5 if anyone has to sell. I can't justify the crazy retail price of these but if someone has comp tix they want to move at a reasonable price, I'm looking to buy for a very good friend who wants to go. I can 100% guarantee they will NOT be resold.
Email me direct please: VEGASSTL at CHARTER dot NET Thanks.
[vpFREE] XXVP: Any MGM-Mirage players holding a ticket for Mayweather fight on May 5?
Re: [vpFREE] drawings
Way back when on the famed (or doomed) treasure hunt drawing that Harrahs did, I literally only had 17 (which was 325 points worth.. whoopie) entries and was drawn for a chance to go on the treasure hunt.. luckily i didn't pick that sqaure, but won $1500... not bad for only putting in a 100 bucks.. Unfortunatly, I have given waaaaaaaaaay more than back over the past years.. The best story was a drawing in Pahrump for a whole outdoor grill island set.. they were collecting entries for a whole month, there had to be over 10,000 tickets in the drum... I popped in 20 minutes before the drawing, earned enough points for 2 tickets, and had my named pulled... I literally ticked off the entire establishment..
So yes, it is possible to win with hardly anything in the drum..virtual drum or not..

Subject: [vpFREE] drawings
Seems like we are just not too lucky at drawings so in the past we have
pretty much ignored them unless we just happened to be at a casino with
drawings.
Recently tried really hard to win a ipad at the Gold Coast. Had 30,000
entries and attended all 3 drawings for ipads/electronics, but no luck.
(Thursday special drawing). Then went to Friday and Sat. "take or trade it"
since I had so many entries, and actually won $1000 in one of the drawings
(traded $700 and got $1000) (Fortunately while I was playing all that week
I won a bunch of $ - yippie! But actually lost $4000 on the day I won the
$1000 drawing...argh....)
Happened to go to the Palms on that Friday and didn't realize they were
having a drawing there. Met someone I knew who came in 2nd ($2000 and an
AirMac prize) who had 12,000 entries - apparently was playing for maybe 24 hrs
during the week at 100 play quarters to get so many entries. Wow. I had
400 entries, so stayed for that drawing and won an Ipod shuffle and $75.
Since I still wanted iPad, I tried really hard this week to win one at the
Palms, and finally did on Friday night at the Palms. yippie. I racked up
over 4000 entries playing 50 play quarter DDB, which I don't normally play
(5 play is more my speed). I managed to break even on play during the
week, fortunately. The 1st place winner in the drawing had 69 entries! 2nd
place had 200. Some of the other people who came in higher places than I
did had 200 entries and 700 entries.
Tonight was Sat. drawing, so back I went, and squeaked in at 7th place
(shuffle and $200). Meanwhile I ran into the same two women who had about 200
entries, and they both came in with higher places than I did (first called,
bigger prizes). Even my husband played a little at the Palms (325
entries) but he wasn't called in either drawing.
Just goes to show you that maybe it doesn't matter if you had a lot of play
or not...maybe having high number of entries makes it a bit more likely
you will win something, but not necessarily a great prize with 10 names
called.
Someone told me one person had won a car at the Palms with 12 entries.
Another friend told me she was at a Southpoint drawing and a woman won $1000
with 1 entry!
But at least I actually won the iPad after 2 weeks with a LOT of play.
Probably a lot easier on the nerves and back and fingers to just buy one
though! Now I need a rest.

What I meant was let the public give it all that coin-in and you track the numbers.

Beware the black hole! Except on a Diamond Thief it's a blue hole. The Diamond Thief is a second generation machine from the IGT Vision Series. It's actually a copycat of Wild Cherry Bonus Pie which is also from the same IGT Vision series.
All Diamond Thiefs are not created equal as far as payback percentage is concerned. It could be anywhere from 88% to 97%. The average machine is in the low nineties percentagewise. That's what I'm going to write about.
You'll average about a 100 coin bonus in the long run.
Beware the blue hole! The valise has a blue background so it's the blue hole on the Diamond Thiefs. We called it the black hole on the Wild Cherry Bonus Pies.
The machine is designed, once you pop the last diamond in and collect the bonus and the basket, to come back with about three quarters of the valise filled with diamonds. Of the nine sections, at least one section will be completely empty. That's the blue hole! Avoid it! Since we know the machine was designed to come back on the next pattern with a blue hole in it, there can be no advantage at that point.
Sometimes you will find that all of the other 8 sections of six are full and there's just that one section that needs all six diamonds popped in. Avoid it! Well, I'd probably play it if there were 50 or 60 coins in the basket. But in general, you don't play blue holes.
Ideally, you would like to find the Thief with only one diamond to go. But those are rare plays. Any 2 or 3 to go is also a play no matter if they are all in the same section or not. 2 needed in one section and 2 needed in another section is also a play. 3 needed in one section and 1 or 2 in another section is also a play.
Only one section left needing 4 diamonds popped in--This is marginal unless there are 20 or so coins in the basket. 3 needed in one section and 3 needed in another is also marginal, look for coins in the basket. 4 needed in one section and 3 or less needed in another is playable if there are enough coins in the basket.
You're gonna have to get a feel for the payback of the machine. Another question is: How old is that machine. On the IGT Visions that were made before 2000, you can look past the third reel and see the coin in-coin out meters. The top meter is coin in and the second meter is the coin out meter. If the meters are there then write the numbers down. Give it about 20,000 coin in and you'll be able to tell where that machine is payback wise.
Re: [vpFREE] Re: Riviera $1000 Sign Up Promo
I'm not much for these Cosmo, Tropicana, or now Riviera loss rebate offers, because you have to hope to lose in order to get anything out of them and that's not why I go into casinos. But I did go to the Riviera last night to visit their new British pub, and on the way out I won $230. So I couldn't try out the promo.

Oh I think we all can figure that one out-someone hit for a few grand on a $25 machine and management puked all over themselves!
Everyone better hit this promotion fast because I can see it going away as I type.

[vpFREE] XVP: Diamond Thief
I gotta be honest. I never thought that in 2012 I'd be asking this question.
I'm seeking some info on the slot machine Diamond Thief. I'm looking for the entry point, or some data I can use to calculate an entry point: the frequency of the DT logo landing on all of the nine spots, the distribution of the random bonus, etc.
Don't fret... this isn't a situation where anyone is going to get rich. Or build a bankroll, for that matter. I found one lone machine that doesn't get much action. It's at a place where I play other games, and I'd like to add it to my repertoire.
RE: [vpFREE] Re: Riviera $1000 Sign Up Promo
All machines in high limit now have the restricted sticker on them.
