Yahoo has stated that they are getting rid of the digests but I have
heard of some members getting them reinstated by sending an email to:

vpfree-digest@yahoogroups.com

You will then receive a confirmation email that you must reply to.

Your results in 100 play are WAY more dependent on the dealt hand than in single line. 

Extreme example. Play 100 hands of single line. Getting trips dealt 100 times has a probability of 0. Getting trip dealt in 100 play is about 1 in 47.

Co variance means relationship between variables. Variable 1 is the dealt hand and variable 2 is the resulting hand. In 100 play, they are much, much more related than in single line for the same number of total hands ( for example, 10,000 hands of single line and 100 dealt hands of 100 play).

Can someone explain how covariance impacts 100 play odds?  I remember from my stats class 40 years ago that covariance comes into play when one variable has an effect on another, either positive or negative.  Does the covariance result from the cards you select from the initial deal?

Agree with all of this and for the single line case the Poisson Distribution is very effective in calculating the probability of discrete events.  My personal corollary to this story was once only getting only 1 Quad in approximately 6000 hands of single line Super Aces.  Odds of a session like that are around 1 in 100,000.
