Subject: [acvpp] Attitude on Loosing
Howdy
I have reached a mind set at this point where I have decided I will enjoy the experience of video poker whether I come away a winner or loser. I refuse to let anything in my life get me down anymore period. That being said I have lost my last 13 out of 14 trips in the few times I have made the journey recently. I went to the Borgata a while back after a long layoff and won 700 dollars on 10 slot dollars playing 9/6 DDB .25-.50. Naturally it was downhill from there. Of course I rather win than loose but screw it life is to short to wallow in "woe is me". Royal Flushes and Four Aces with a Kicker seem to be fond faded memories when the world was young and I was a bigger pain in the ass.

[vpFREE] Seven Stars Tier 1 Excursion
Does anyone know if the 125,000 points required in a calender year like the 100,000 Seven Stars requirement or is it April 1 thru March 31? Thanks!
[vpFREE] Re: LVA Question of the Day - 25 OCT 2011
Can anyone repost the answer to the 11/11/11 question (from Oct 25)? Can't find it on the LVA website, it only shows the same day's question.
Thanks...

Every 11 minutes, from 11:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. $1,111 in free slot play will be awarded to Borgata card-holders who have activated their slot club card either in a slot machine or by establishing a table game rating. (Technically no play is required.)

[vpFREE] Re: Good deal?
The Free Play at Casino Royale is on "Promotional Machines Only" which is a small bank of slots that take $5 per spin and yield NOTHING. Nathan Burton is pretty good but typically can be had in the 2 for $20 range. The Jockey Club by itself sure wouldn't be worth $99 per night even for their "suite", in my opinion. To me, this is NOT a good deal AT ALL.

[vpFREE] Re: Sam's Town Casino
They are super fast for anybody getting 500 hands an hour, I would not worry about it.
At Sam's Town the attendants will not turn up the speed on those machines, they are not allowed to. There are signs on the machines stating so. At most other casinos they will turn it up for you. But if you are getting 500 hands an hour then the machine speed should not be an issue anywhere in Vegas. You would have to be getting around 1000+ hands an hour for machine speed to be an issue anywhere.

Saw a deal for 2 days at the Jockey club, $200 slot credit as Casino Royale, 2 tickets to Naathan Burton magic comedy show for $199. Obiously how good a deal depends on the restrictions of the Casino Royale FP, which I did not check on.

Another lesson for others on why not to let points, CB or anything else accumulate to large amounts.
Here's an example/possible counterargument:
As there was nothing worth using the points for, I let my Caesar's Total Rewards account just sit until there was about $22k face value there. In August there was a promotion from Las Vegas with a play-up for Tourneau (a watch store) credit. I knew one could use TR credits to buy additional Tourneau value, but considering the markup, etc, that might not be very much above the 2:1 cash exchange you can find around the system. But I asked my host anyway, and lo and behold it was a 1:1 exchange! I took about 4 new Rolexes with it. Nah nah, Caesar's!

I have not been there for a while but keep reading the FPDW machines are sometimes very slow. I am not a professional and not very fast either. My top speed is probably about 500 hands per hour which by pro standards would be very slow.
When they are slow are they much slower than that? Will the attendants turn up the speed for you?
thanks
