I'm not sure of the gaming "rule," can you clarify?
I was under the impression that casinos cannot KEEP money from a progressive, above the reset, but they CAN move that money to another progressive in the same casino. Is that true if the original progressive still exists, or only if the original progressive has been removed? In the case described by Tomski, the original progressive was still in existence, so it seems unusual. He does not mention if the $1000 was actually moved to another progressive in the same casino. If it was, does that make it okay?

Yes. It's a free roll. I've been awarded money for similar
occurrences at least twice and I'm confident that if I had pursued it
on another occasion, I would have won.
