My only current involvement with the vpFREE2 database is as a
moderator for a few casinos. I was the administrator of the former
database for seven years, before the current site owner took over in
2009. I'm going to address your post and copy the vpFREE2 site owner
in case he has something to add.

First, I think the 9/6 DDB at the Horseshoe Tunica definitely should
have been added to the vpFREE2 games list since that would be the best
game there. That casino has a monitor and maybe the monitor did not
know how to show a game like Build a Wheel.

I suggest that in a case like this when you are dissatisfied with how
your update has been handled, that you click on "Contact Us" on
vpFREE2 and let the site owner know about the situation. I'm sure he
would address your concerns as soon as he can.

As far as including 98.98% 9/6 DDB and 98.91% Deuces Wild at all
casinos, vpFREE2 does not list all video poker games, just the best
ones. It's usually better not to list games with low paytables if
there are many better ones available at the same denomination.

But this is a gray area and I can think of many exceptions like
specialty games such as STP and QQ that boost the return above the
base game's return. Also progressives since they are almost always
higher than reset. When I submit an update, I usually just leave it up
to the monitor or site owner to decide which games are playable and
should be included.

I hope no one abandons vpFREE2.com even though some things aren't
being done exactly as we would wish. We all benefit from supporting
the database.

I don't see any deuces games in the database for Taj or Borg.

http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/borgata

If it's the game that pays 2000 for deuces and an ace, I've seen those at Borg, but don't know about Taj.

I don't frequent Borgata but I've certainly never seen that game at the Taj in 20 years going there. Not in the database at either place. Are they new?

How are you today?
Just dropping a side thought. I'll bet you are over 40 - 50 years old.
How would I make that guess? Of course, I have been known to be wrong and I'm older than that.

[vpFREE] Re: Foxwoods NSUD:Can I get a tiny bit of help from someone with VP software?

VPFREE2 database lists 9/6 DDB as full pay (Oh for the good old days).

STP 9/6 DDB is ~99.3% (Personal favorite after a jackpot on good VP).
Double STP 9/6 DDB is ~99.5%. Will play after 2 jackpots :-)

Heading to Vegas on Monday. Still a number of 10/6 DDB machines.
Arms are starting to itch.

But some don't care that 9/6 DDB is the best paying version of the most popular video poker game virtually everywhere outside Nevada and few other locations. I reported that Horseshoe Tunica had 9/6 DDB with "Build a Wheel" recently for 5 play 5c/10c/25c (99.11% with Build a Wheel). The moderator threw it in there as a comment and left Horseshoe Tunica with a "Nothing Good" status, which I disagree with. The machines I reported play 2% higher than the rest of the casino though...*blech*

[vpFREE] Re: Harrah's Metropolis, Illinois

Note the 7/5 DDB is a progressive, and a multiway progressive at that. When I stopped there for the "Race to Rewards" last summer, the Royal was at about $1900 I think and Aces w/kicker was about $700. There were other meters as well, but I don't recall them being super high. But these two values alone would make the game 98.8%. The bank was pretty busy, not surprisingly. I took a $40 crack and lost. :(

But if the meters are all too low to be playable, I am pretty sure I played a little 8/5 DDB w/Super Times Pay (97.06% w/STP bet). Or at least I recall noticing that because I thought: Well, at least the base pays on this game are higher than the base of the progressive.

Unfortunately, VP is definitely weak there overall. The best thing about the place, imo, is that you can't smoke in the casino.

We normally play DDB but we are used to 9/6 or even 9/5 but not 7/5 which is worse than terrible. Any info on other games would be appreciated.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Harrah's Metropolis, Illinois

That certainly wasn't encouraging. Anyone have any experience with the rooms? Food? Is it so depressing that I shouldn't take their free night? If we stay there we will probably just play a very little bit.

I went past there in Dec. It was the first time I went in a place and didn't play anything. One of the most depressing places I've visited. Hope your experience is better.
