Re: [vpFREE] Which Casino Group is Best?

mark gave an excellent answer to this on my caesars M-life thread a few days ago ...

I'm a DIAD local (getting ready to expire) and am going to stick with his recommendation to re-up there (no M-life for me) based on his excellent comments.

it'll help other posters if you give a hint as to the things you're looking for -or want- from your casino patronage. it'll give people a chance to target their advice.

Not sure, but they may be limited to even-money bets only. "DTD" may know that for a fact - and answered accordingly.

[vpFREE] Which Casino Group is Best?

Which of the 2 major casino groups, MGM/Mirage or Ceasars Entertainment, is the best one for a local. Right now I really don't play at any of their casinos, except if I'm walking through one while there for some other reason. I have negligible, if any points, at both groups and don't get any offers. I'm a quarter to a dollar player. I noticed that CET doesn't have anything good at those denominations, whereas some of the MGM properties do have good machines. I would do the "Diamond in a Day" promo if it were worthwhile, even if I have to play a $5 machine. I would appreciate any advice you may give me. Thanks!

Thanks. The judge's decision no less from a law professor's blog.

I couldn't find a newspaper report on the outcome. Still can't.
Must not have been that newsworthy or the powers to be don't want anybody to get any ideas.

The case has been dismissed at the district level, like it should have been in the first place because they did nothing illegal. The machines themselves were misprogrammed.

Ok, I went back and read the Las Vegas Advisor, and it says to keep watching the "Today's News" section of their website for announcement of when the show will air.

It also says there is 9-6 JoB, 15-8 LDW, and 13-4 BDW at 98.80.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the show.

Oh, I didn't know there were already 40 episodes, I thought it was something new. The first one I watched last night was with the Canyon Inn in Yorba Linda, Calif. What a JERK that bar owner was! Such a big ego. I'm sitting here yelling at the tv, "screw him, let him go bankrupt, friggin jerk!" lol

Has the episode actually aired yet involving the 702 Bar? I did find a website the other day, seemed to be a work in progress. I'm going to be in Vegas, hopefully, in about three weeks, I will definitely stop by the 702 Bar. And Anthony Curtis said there will be a progressive coming. I hope they do great and maybe other bars will catch on.

On my last trip to Vegas I was somewhere over on the westside and I saw a bar in the corner of a parking lot. There were banners and signs about "grand opening, hot video poker, best video poker in town", or something like that. I went inside, and it was a bunch of 6-5 Bonus Poker crap, without even a progressive. GTFO! CLUELESS! What a joke. What a bad joke. I left.

Why would the the ship's casino bother messing with the RNG
when offering 6/5 JOB paytables ?

Yes , great show! , I've been following it for a while, seems to be at least
40 episodes so far. You can walk into the Sand Dollar/702 bar now ( its
in a crap neighborhood i.e. Spring Mountain and Polaris ) and see if its all
still good. I checked Yelp and some other sites on follow up to Jon Taffers'
other makeovers , and its fair to say that 50% of the places , chuck all his
advice after 3 months, and go back to the original ways. The show is not
really clear on who pays for the bar makeover cost, which in my estimate
runs from $10,000 to $50,000. I suspect that a lot of these folks are only
doing it for the makeover !

[vpFREE] Re: First Time Cruising w/ Casino...

I googled video poker hacked and found a 2011 article about arrest.
I can't find any follow up:
"Swissvale man accused in casino thefts arrested by federal agents

...Agents on Sunday obtained an arrest warrant on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud against Mr. Nestor and John Kane of Las Vegas..."
