[vpFREE] Trop LV Buy-a-Card

The Tropicana in Las Vegas revised their players club recently. There's a new twist that I don't think I've ever seen before. There are three card levels. You can buy the second card level for $5000 or the third card level for $10,000. And if you already have the second card level, you can buy the third one for $5000 instead of $10,000.

See footnote on tier benefits page of their website.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: ADVANTAGE SLOTS

Ah, I see, thanks.

Do you have any insight on trying to figure the "non-must pay machines"? I
see far more of these around. They will have say 5 progressives, starting
with small frequent jackpots of say $10 at reset and continuing on
up to $1000 or whatever. Or, they may only have two. Might I assume in
the latter case if both the meters are say 70% over reset that's
interesting?

The Cosmopolitan has a $100 promo - I went there yesterday to try it out. It can be played on any machine without a progressive. This eliminates bar VP since it looked like they were all progressives at the bars.

The feature of this promotion, according to the boothling I spoke to, is you do not have to be a new member. The promo is good for everyone but can only be used one time. I did not have a loss so I did not redeem (not complaining about this!)

I was told this $100 loss does not have to happen your first day, any day would be OK to take advantage of this, so long as the promotion is ongoing.

This is different from other promos I've done in the past, where not only did you have to be a new sign-up, but the $100 offer was good only on that first day.

The real key is the time frame. Unless you are a local or close, next month

rebate is not that helpful.

[vpFREE] Re: New Player Promos.

The Trop rebate is 25%, 25% , 50% as mentioned but it is use it or lose it. Lose $100 on day 1, need to claim 25% by 3 AM the following morning. If you don't pick it up, it's gone. Same with the next 2 days. Plan accordingly.

[vpFREE] Re: New Player Promos.

Just in Vegas last week and here's what I found.

Trop - $200 loss rebate.  You get 25% the first day, 25% 2nd day, and 50% 3rd day after your loss.

LV Club/Plaza - $100 loss rebate.  50% same day, 50% 3rd day of next month.  6 months to claim.

Palms - $1000 loss rebate.  Different percentages back after differing amounts of time.  Check their website for details.

Cosmopolitan - $100 rebate.  Same day.  You MUST ask about this promo or they won't offer it up.

the D - $50 free play if you show a Spirit airlines boarding pass

A number of $5/$10 around town.
- Westin Causarina
- Ellis Island
- Golden Nugget
- Gold Spike
- Four Queens
- El Cortez

I'm sure there are other small ones like this.

[vpFREE] Bad Sign at Monte Carlo

Within the past couple of days they have applied stickers that say "Specialty Game" on all multiline video poker machines. Up until now, similar stickers have only been on virtual electronic games like BJ, roulette, and craps. Those machines have an additional sticker that states they don't earn points or comps. The stickered machine I tested today was still giving normal M-Life points.

In the High Limit area, the $25 denomination has been been removed from all video poker machines and the ONLY denomination with 9/6 JoB is $10 in 1/3/5-Play.
