RE: [vpFREE] Card Odds

Jean,

I believe that I have answered the odds of catching everything possible in JB & DDB when using correct strategy. http://www.videopokerhelp.net/odds.htm  The answer to your question would be found in “Hold four cards”.

What is a good source to find the odds of various VP hands.  For example, when you are dealt 2 pair, what are the odds you make a full house?

[vpFREE] RE: RE: New Video Poker Game - Bonus Discard Poker

Update to my previous post.  I went back to close the window with your demo screen and gave a few more clicks to the "Deal/Draw" button.  As I did this I noticed that the credit meter kept decreasing by "10" with each click - but no cards were being dealt.

Well, I just watched your youtube instructional video and then proceeded to your demo.  Although informational "pop up" boxes appear when I click the "How to play" and "Information" buttons, nothing at all happens when I click on the "Deal/Draw" button.  If this is intended to be a functional "demo", it seems to not be working at present.

I'm still working out the math, but all feedback is welcomed!

Re: [vpFREE] Ultimate x scam -- I got scammed at Palms but....

Glad for your good luck.

The best Ultimate X scammers try to make money for their "victims" as they leave multipliers.
In a sense, they are entertainers.
The "customers" sometimes tip them afterwards from their wins, or give them some cash if losing.

Usually they choose people who don't know video poker (e.g. people who don't know what cards to hold...so the scammer is actually giving good playing advice for which cards to hold) and play 88-95% slot machines.  So very often spending time at 97-99% video poker had more wins than
their usual game.

[vpFREE] RE: Rivera

I too got a couple of free play offers.  9/7 DB exists in .25, .50 and $1.  They are located just West of Banana Leaf restaurant.  I haven't seen any 8/5 Bonus lately.

A blast from the past – we just got free play mailers from the Rivera.  We haven't been in that casino since the Middle Ages.

I see from vpFREE that they have 8/5 Bonus and 9/7 DB, but the free play coupons say they are good on "select" machines.  Can anyone give me some input as to these "select" machines.  Slots only?  Bad VP schedules only?

TIA.

Typical Riviera FP is good on all VP machines.

Thanx, Vegasplayer, for your report – even though it is bad news.  However, can you at least use free play on these VP machines?

[vpFREE] RE: Whatever happened to Charles Lund?

I stand corrected. Here's a link to a 1999 article by John Grochowski in Casino City Times about John Lund:

http://grochowski.casinocitytimes.com/article/slot-player-banned-at-bellagio-831

"...I've been writing about the potential edge for slot players in this column for several years, but Charles W. Lund has raised it to an art form. Don't think that hasn't been noticed. In the Spring edition of Arnold Snyder's Blackjack Forum, Lund tells of being barred from Bellagio while merely collecting information on how to best play a game called Money Maze..."

Whatever happened to Charles Lund? He used to have a website, but right now I can't remember the name of it. The last time I checked, maybe a couple years ago, the website was down. Is he still around?

That was true until last week.  I was there yesterday and did not see any of the familiar 8/5 BP, 9/7 DB, or 9/6 DDB.  All paytables I checked had been downgraded.  I didn't check every machine in every bank, but my random survey of a dozen or so machines showed the same devastation.  My September greatly reduced mailer had a letter from the new General Manager Rob Kunkie.  His exciting announcement is that Queen Victoria's Pub is now open for breakfast.  Wow a dumpy restaurant in a dumpy casino.
