Re: [vpFREE] Progressive Question

You are correct. Rarely a $1 progressive gets put on a $0.25 bank for example, saw it once at the Stardust.

Hi all,

I think I remember reading here once that if a casino has a progressive jackpot going that hasn't been hit, and they want to discontinue those machines in their inventory, that they have to reassign the jackpot money somewhere else? Or do they have to keep those machines active until someone hits it?

Does anyone know what the truth of it is? I'm curious about this.

Thanks,

Valerie

[vpFREE] Awful...just awful.

Playing mostly JoB variants recently and probably would win the prize
for least number of winning hands.

A few days ago, I had this awful run:

Played 100 credits, got 1 winning hand (Jacks or Better) before the
credit meter hit 0.

Played 100 credits, got 2 winning hands (a Jacks or Better and a Two
Pair) before the credit meter hit 0.

Switched to a Deuces Wild game.

Played 100 credits, got 3 winning hands, nothing better than a
straight, before I ran out of credits.

Switched back to a JoB game.

Played 100 credits, got about 4-5 winning hands before running out
this time.

Got up and left out of frustration because it was beyond not fun
anymore.

I need CoachVee and Hedy to give me some lessons on how to get lucky.

as someone who is allergic to smoke, i would request a room change if
i found out i had a smoking room, even if it didn't smell and i knew
for a fact that it had never been smoked in. i expect that the air
circulation is much more likely to bring smoke into my room from the
hallway or other rooms if i'm on a smoking floor than if i'm on a
nonsmoking floor. i've had this problem before.

maybe this isn't actually the case - i am hardly an expert on air
circulation systems in large hotels - but it doesn't seem like an
irrational concern.

cheers,

Re: [vpFREE] Tuna the whole story

If he is the big stinky slob that sat next to me the other evening at the VP machine's along with a woman on the other side blowing cigar smoke & squeezing into my space, I'd say it was the smell. Of course, I lit up a cigarette and started blowing smoke back along with yelling "I love you dear" down the row to another machine to my husband & they were off and running. Whomever it was, I was glad for the cigar smell to somewhat cover up the body odor. lol. I've never been intimidated.

There's been so much chatter about Tuna I was hoping someone knew the full story of his nickname, "Tuna, the big fish".

I heard he got it fishing diamond wedding rings out of the Truckee river in Reno, where failed spouses cast them after messy divorces.

I'd love to know if that's fiction or fact.

What Mickey said wasn't even close to rude or even close to what he should have (IMHO) said. Where the hell have you been living if you consider that rude? Don't hold your breath waiting for an apology... you don't deserve one.

And don't bother to respond to me... I've said all I'm going to say and the list doesn't deserve to read us pissing at each other.

I can understand a nonsmoker's objection to a smoking room because of
the lingering odor of the smoke. But you say this was the first night

Re: [vpFREE] Re: machine's

I believe this information is wrong. Swapping out reels is only required if the theme changes. To change the payback of a particular slot game, the weighting of each spot on the reels change, not the physical reels themselves. As far as I know this has always been the case.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: New Luxury Resort The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Opens Its Doors

If I were not a smoker, I would complain & expect some sort of comp. Especially, if they are new, it should be exactly as you paid for. However, I admit to smoking in non smoking rooms however, with a window open or in the bathroom or kitchen with an exhaust fan & use smoke spray *that takes away smoke odors*. This has been when it was the only suite available.
The Cosmo is nothing short of Amazing and I couldn't imagine them not complying to a customers needs & going over board to address complaints as they are so new & do not want bad media. However, if people don't speak up when they find themselves in a position such as this, they cannot do what needs to be done.
