Huh?
Valet parking attendants create a "bailment for hire", and must use ordinary care and dilligence in parking your car. If not, they are liable for damages. Your degree of compliance with your rental agreement has no bearing on it.
If you meant to say "car rental agency" instead of "hotel", you're likely right if you're talking about the optional agency insurance coverage. But you should never use that -- it's a ripoff. Your own auto insurance and/or premium credit card protection will normally cover you adequately.

Re: [vpFREE] Cab or Car Rental
We always rent a car because we like to go to Suncoast, Southpoint and other outlying casinos. Did you try Payless? Don't bite on any of the extras. Also do remember that if the car gets damaged by valet, you are responsible. Car rental agreements do not allow other drivers even valet and if the car is damaged, the hotel will most likely say you were in violation of your rental agreement and refuse to pay (I read that on one of these posts a few years ago and checked it out).

[vpFREE] Cab or Car Rental
I will be taking a short Vegas trip this coming September staying Downtown. I have the option of taking a cab or renting a car at about 25 per Day or $80 total for the trip. Which do think would you think would be better?
Thank You,

I have received a QUA spa gift certificate. I have no interest in spa treatments, but does anyone know if there are spa products available to us this on. I appreciate any suggestions.
[vpFREE] Re: Multiple progressive machines
I think you misunderstood Tom, nightoftheiguana2000.
He was saying the first cycle he played was unopposed (not shared) and then 5 other players piled on.
When everyone starts at the same time meter-rise is not shared, it counts full. Because though they can hit it away from you they are also adding to it. Their chance to hit the JP is perfectly counterbalanced by their contribution to it.
Someone getting on after you at a higher number is a completely different situation.
This is covered in my book under the subheading, "Getting Snapped Off".

And as you said previously this assumes everyone plays about the same rate with about the same strategy, which might or might not be the case. Some players might be slow playing or siting at a machine reading a book waiting for a higher number, and so on.

I'm pretty sure this is all in Frank's book which is pretty much the bible on progressive slots.
FK Reply:
It was indeed covered in my book in depth with exact formulas. But I also said in the book that it generally isn't worth worrying about unless you are dealing with multi-meters with a lot of meter-rise.
The phenomenon is called Meter-Disparity by the progressive players I know. I have a detailed description on how to figure out how much meter-disparity costs you, and a walk-through of a 5-7-T Double Bonus 5-Meter playing for any of the 5 meters and how "either or" plays are calculated when two or more meters bring the return to play level. It's all there, but here's the thing!
When I wrote it, I never expected even one single person to ever use it. It's all stuff that has an exact version and a seat of the pants version that's so much simpler no one does all the math.
I included it just in case, because I wanted the book to be complete.
I'd love to tell you that you need to know the long method and that you have to buy my book to learn it, but that simply isn't true.
Know that meter-disparity always costs you (and never helps you) and add a little to your start number.

I don't write the headlines, but that's a bad title for the column. Luxor
doesn't have a drawing promo that I'm aware of. The Luxor reference is
actually a Tequila promotion! Lol

[vpFREE] LVA Question of the Day - 24 JUL 2012
LVA Question of the Day - 24 JUL 2012
Q: I drove past a motel sign on the center divider of Las
Vegas Blvd. near El Cortez. I think it said "Elvis slept
here." Was that motel anything special and did Elvis really
sleep there? I wish I had caught the motel name but I was
driving and apparently I'm not good with multi-tasking :-(

[vpFREE] Re: free play question

someone named "GOLDFADA" make a few years ago in reply to a similar
question:
>>If your goal is truly to get as close to $500 as possible, then you

At one casino where I get free play, video roulette is one kind of
machine which is excluded.
A bad streak at Video BJ sometimes gives me a 50% return,
and a poor run at Video poker sometimes returns only 35%.
However, I like the chance of the occasional 4oaks and full houses on
Video Poker (Never gotten a royal on free play).
Playing video roulette, covering most of the board with random chips
($5-10 at a time on 0.10 or 0.25), is not a bad way to get a 80-120%
return,
with some chance for surprise wins.
Mitchell
P.S. Usually I try to do free play on advantage plays, but sometimes
there are none to be found...
