I travel frequently and try to read the boardingarea.com blogs almost every day. One of them today features a review of a stay at Cosmopolitan:

Jim Wolf has offered his Frugal Video Poker program for free. You can
practice and print strategy charts.

If the new ranking system puts the Cosmopolitan, a casino which guarantees long term loss even with comps on every game (the best being 99.73% on NSUD with .2% comps), in second place then these ranks are just something to be ignored. YMMV.
I know a man who lost thousands in the Cosmopolitan High Limit room on the "good games" and then didn't even get dinner out of them. Was his comp percentage influenced by theoretical?
It was sad learning about it. I can relate to it, since he was in one of the worst situations that any of us can face: losing far more than the "expected" loss and then, instead of being wined and dined, treated quite disrespectfully (in my opinion) in spite of it. That's one danger in playing at a new place with limited feedback from other players.

I'll be going to Detroit next week for business and wondered if Greektown was worth a visit? Anyone have any comments? Thanks!

I mean, the FTRA may be some tough hombres, but they're still going to have difficulty stabbing me if I've got at least a .380 in my pocket. It's difficult for me to imagine putting oneself in that environment without packing roscoe.
