You may have been thinking of this message from 2009:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vpFREE/message/102838

"In 2007 at the SunCoast, I was playing a triple-play progressive and was dealt 4
to the royal. The Q came in on all three lines. They paid me for the dealt
not the three individual lines because their signs state "all three lines"
instead of dealt."

I would not be at all surprised to learn that the result depends on the casino and the wording on the progressive display (but if you made me guess, my impression is that most progressives like this say "all lines" -- the chance of it coming up is small enough, and this way they avoid any arguments/litigation, and it's not their money anyway, so it seems like the path of least resistance for the casino)

The list of free or BOGO tickets changes frequently but I believe you can call the main CET reservations number 800-223-7277, ask for VIP Reservations. They will tell you what shows are available to you and reserve tickets for you too.

Note that many shows are dark during mid-December.

[vpFREE] Re: Dealt Royal Progressive

You're assuming that the casino will pay you for the triple play dealt royal progressive when you have actually drawn three royals instead of having them dealt.

I believe I have heard of someone actually doing this, but I can't remember if the casino agreed to pay them the dealt progressive instead of the three individual progressives or not. I'd love to test it myself.

> From: "tringlomane@yahoo.com" <tringlomane@yahoo.com>

>To be a bit more anal, the probability of hitting the triple play jackpot is a bit higher than 1 in 649,740.   There will be a small chance you can get 4 to a Royal and make all 3 Royals:  The probability of that happening is:  4*5*47/2,598,960/47^3 = 1 in 287,055,132.  Adding this to the dealt royal probability of 1 in 649,740 leads to:  1 in 648,273.  Obviously you can extend this argument for 3 to Royal draws and less...but that's really splitting hairs, and the probability will barely change beyond this.

[vpFREE] 7 star privileges

I believe Vegas properties still give unlimited free movies and internet in their rooms, but double check on arriving. I recently was surprised to find Atlantic City had change this over to a $45 per day free limit, and internet charges were included in this and each individual iPhone or iPad was charged separately. Most diamond lounges also have a couple of computers with free internet.

In Vegas 7 star members also can get a yearly free golf benefit, check with a host on this.

Most of the spas at Caesars properties also will let 7 star members in for free. I recommend the Caesars Qua spa which is the biggest and best. You will find hot and cold pools, steam room, sauna, also a "ice" room with "snow" falling from ceiling. There is also tea an other refreshments in the waiting area. I don't know specifically about the Flamingo property, but it probably also is free for 7 star members. The gyms usually also are free.

Also 7 star members can get two free show tickets for certain shows once a month, ask at Total Rewards for a list. Jubilee at Ballys is your best choice if you haven't seen it. Penn and Teller are also on the list, but sometimes they are sold out. Then there are lesser shows like Anthony Cools hypnotist, Legends in Concert, etc. If Million Dollar Quartet is on the list I do recommend that highly. Diamond members also get the 2 tickets, but Platinum members get 2 for price of one.

Be sure to show your card at any meals for possible discounts and look for 7 star/diamond lines to shorten wait lines. If you are going to Caesars buffet definitely look for the 7 star line; at Rio buffet there is a 7 star entrance; Flamingo buffet separate 7 star/diamond line.

If you have the 7 star trip $500 credit, charge all your meals to your room. This credit is good for dining at outlets owned by Caesars but May not work for some they don't own. For example, restaurants in Caesars forum shops are definitely not included. But some non owned ones are included, like Gordon Ramsey steakhouse (must have advance reservation), so ask to make sure before eating. You can also use additional comps you have.

If you have the $100 Diamond Aspiration meal (you get it at 15000 points), go to Total rewards desk to get it as a comp for a specific restaurant. Some TR desks don't know about this comp or are confused, so you may run into difficulty redeeming it. Ask for a supervisor or host if you have a problem.

Also I believe 7 star members get a discount in the gift shop.

If you play heavily and run out of comps, a host may be able to comp more, but they will take all your comp points first.

Something important to note about "Bonus Poker" at Harrah's Rincon (don't be fooled!):

I went to play some of the new machines recently installed in the video poker area. I looked for bonus poker, and lo and behold there was 8/5 "bonus poker" (quotations here are important). I only checked the full house/flush ratio (the game was clearly labeled bonus poker with the same font/artwork you usually see for the game) then finally, I hit my first quad: four two's! Yippee, right? Except I was rewarded 150 quarters instead of the usual 200. I scrolled up to check the paytable to see what gives, and I couldn't believe my eyes. The only "bonus" in this game is that all 4 of a kinds pay 150 quarters at max bet instead of 125.

There's a lesson in this too, of course. Never, ever, ever let your guard down in a casino! (especially a harrah's property) :)

Cheers,
Brian

Yeh Brian...Had not been to Rincon since September; last weekend I accompanied my wife, as she had an invitation to a slot turnament, and scouted all the VP before having a round of play.  I always liked to play at the Fiore bar top but this is now unplayable...new machines with multiple games and the infamus Bonus Poker with reduces pay schedule as you  described.  The few machines still "relatively" good to play are at the Sports Bar...how long they will be there ??? who knows!!!!.

Wife goes to her turnament and leaves me at the Sports Bar where I'm having a good run at a "old" Bonus Poker machine. Wife returns 1/2 hour later but the Bar is now fully occupied and she can't get a seat. She starts to walk away as I get a 3 card royal an surprise...I convert!   I was very surprised to get my second Rincon Royal this year!

I was up a little before the Royal, but since wife was down $200.00 and had lousy luck at the turnament, we decided to go to the free buffet and run!  We each did about a 3 hour session and it will probably knock us down for future offers.  The way we see it is if they remove all of the machines left with any kind of play we still enjoy, we will be out of there no matter what!

By the way, the Fiore Bar was all but empty (always full in the past) as the bartender commented that "things are very slow since the machine changes".  Bad for lucrative drinks business?????  Just my 2 cents worth.

[vpFREE] Re: Question Regarding "Additional" charges at Ceasar's Properties

One thing you might consider is our wonderful NEW Smith Center for the Performing Arts at www.thesmithcenter.com ... it is in the downtown area and is always presenting Broadway shows, concerts, classical and other and there is a Cabaret room where you can see a show and have a light supper or snacks and drinks.  It is a jewel of the city now and I recommend that you all check it out.  The shows are half the price of Strip shows and some are just fabulous!

Pools have been closed a few weeks.

Matt King at Harrah's is a great show, but cheap. Don't use your free show on it, use the "free" coupon that requires you to buy a drink.

[vpFREE] RE: Question Regarding "Additional" charges at Ceasar's Properties

The best spa is the Caesars Palace Qua Baths. 7* and guest enter free. Flamingo has a spa/workout area and it is free also but nothing like caesars. it is worth the walk across the street. I will be there from Dec 27 to Jan 4 so if you want to meet then lets talk. We can share a couple of 7* meals. Remember you get your $500 room folio allowance, your $500 7* meal and whatever other comps the property offers. Plus they should limo you to and from the airport.

We are taking a 7 Star and Diamond Aspiration trip to Vegas over Christmas. Will be staying at the Flamingo and have some questions I would appreciate answers to:

Resort Fees/Internet/Movies---are these applied to 7 Star and what might be the daily "rules" ?

Are any pools open ?

Does the 7 Star card give you free access to any of the spas?

What "amenities" should be expected ?

Have not been to Vegas for about 4 years---anything of note "new" to see

Thank you for your answers in advance---Kris
