Except when it is you who is being audited. I've been thru multiple audits. There's a reason the personal gambling log is the most important document a gambler can have. Nothing will or can supersede that log because it is the word of the taxpayer.
3rd party info, such as bank withdrawal & deposit statements relating to individual gambling session/trips are good support, but no competent auditor could ever rely on a casino win/loss statement when it's impossible to determine if the gambler also gambled without a card. You're asking for the auditor to assume at that point, and the audits are about only the facts. The log provides the needed facts.

Anybody with common sense would place more value on an independent third party evaluation. You can put anything you want in your log. Many people and companies are well known for keeping 2 sets of books.

The IL lottery shows the odds as 1:10,179,260 since you get two picks for a $1 play. ( You cannot buy a 50c lotto play in IL.)

I also wonder what that district manager's employees think of his managerial skills.

Why would they choose to believe a 3rd party compilation when it's entirely possible that your card reader wasn't always perfect or ESPECIALLY when a player can just as easily play without a card? It's YOU who's being audited and not the 3rd party.

The auditor completely dismissed my contemporaneous gambling log straight away, and was only interested in third party confirmation of my results - specifically the won/loss statements provided by the casinos. I guess it all depends on which auditor you get.

I noticed there were no games listed in vpfree2. I was there last weekend. From what I saw every JB in every denomation (5c to $5) is 9/5. Every bonus poker is 7/5 and every double bonus is 9/6/5.
[vpFREE] Re: xvp: Southwest Pvd to Las sale:
Nice. That is a very good price. Jet Blue from Boston, November 2 for 7 days is $322. And I thought that was pretty good. Didn't know SW flew non-stop from Providence. Might be something new?
I thought there flights stopped in Denver but I checked SW website and it shows non-stop to Vegas. Great to have Pvd as an option. Thanks

[vpFREE] Campaign to have Lenny Frome inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame.
I thought the membership would be interested in this press release. Full text below. Link here http://www.pr.com/press-release/361963
Make 2012 Lenny's Year
With the November issue, Midwest Gaming & Travel launches its campaign to have Lenny Frome inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame.
Las Vegas, NV, October 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Every year since 1989, gaming professionals have honored colleagues who have distinguished themselves through significant contributions to the industry with induction into the Gaming Hall of Fame. Among the ranks of past inductees are such gaming pioneers as Benny Binion, Sam Boyd, Barron Hilton and William Harrah, and visionaries like Jack Binion, Don Laughlin, Craig H. Neilsen and Steve Wynn. All have had exemplary careers and are fitting representatives of the best of the gaming industry.
One important name however, is missing from the hallowed walls of the Gaming Hall of Fame at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. That name is Lenny Frome, the Godfather of Video Poker.
For those who knew him, Lenny was a friend and mentor. For those who read his books and articles, he was a diligent and perseverant instructor. Those who will learn about Lenny in the Lenny Frome section of the November issue of Midwest Gaming & Travel, will see why his name should join those listed above. Lenny Frome was first and foremost, by self-proclamation, the "PlayersPal."
Every year the American Gaming Association solicits nominations, and then AGA staff and members of the Board of Directors make the final selections for induction into the Gaming Hall of Fame.
Right now, we have the unique opportunity to posthumously thank Lenny for all he did. And that's where you can come in. Today, we can speak as one, we can tell the AGA that Lenny Frome should be among the other giants of the industry honored in the Gaming Hall of Fame. Together we can do it. Together we can make 2012 "Lenny's Year."
There are a number of ways to make your voice heard. Choose the method that is easiest for you.
You can copy the sentence below or use your own experience to explain why you believe the time has come for Lenny Frome to be inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame. "Because of his many significant contributions to casino gaming, I respectfully request your consideration of Lenny Frome for induction into the Gaming Hall of Fame."
