[vpFREE] Cincy/Ky. Derby Trip

Hi Gang:
Hedy and I fly to Ohio Thursday for a three-night stay at Horseshoe Cincinnati, which will include a side trip to the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on Saturday.
And we head West on a winning streak that has turned around all the bad karma we've been saddled with for the past 15 months.
Coming off one of our worst years ever in the casinos, we were hoping 2014 would signal a return to the winning ways we had experienced from 2009 through 2012, but the first three months of the year proved to be more of the same downward spiral.
A different approach seemingly turned the trick for us. This past month, we decided to give our bodies a well-deserved break from hours of play, so instead of Hedy and I both playing simultaneously at the $1 level, we are now playing $2 games on one machine, alternating every 15 minutes. This new strategy seems to like us. It has yielded three 8K royals in a month, one sweetly dealt to me at the Revel two weeks ago. Hedy contributed earlier in the month by getting dealt a 1K royal right before dinner on the NCL Gem.
So, just like that, we seem to be back on the right road and video poker suddenly is fun again.
Regards,
CoachVee & Hedy

PS: I have press credentials for the Derby this year and am excited about having Hedy with me to experience the great spectacle the Run for the Roses has become. I covered the race three times during my working days at the New York Post but this is the first time I've been able to go there with Hedy.  And she found the perfect Derby hat!

PPS: For those interested, my selections for the race still can be purchased on my web site www.tomthebombpicks.com
This year I will have an even bigger edge being on site, talking to the owners, trainers and jockeys and seeing the horses up close and personal!

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Last Tango in Tunica

We have also been several times via comped charters from Baltimore, for some reason they stopped offering those incentives.  My wife and I both enjoyed the stay and casino.

I've been to Harrah's Tunica three times - all in the past two years and all via free (comped) charter.  Pretty good vp and good buffet.  I'll miss it and the large fish in its canal (or is it a moat?!
