Re: [vpFREE] OT: Re: Medicare shocker coming 2016

Medicare Part G*
Say you are an older senior citizen and can no longer take care of yourself and need Long-Term Care, but the government says there is no Nursing Home care available for you.

So, what do you do? You opt for Medicare Part G.

The plan gives anyone 75 or older a gun (Part G) and one bullet.

You are allowed to shoot one worthless politician.

This means you will be sent to prison for the rest of your life where you will receive three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heating and air conditioning, cable TV, a library, and all the health care you need.

Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? That's great. Need a hearing aid, new hip, knees, kidney, lungs, sex change, or heart? They are all covered!

As an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you at least as often as they do now!

And, who will be paying for all of this?
The same government that just told you they can't afford for you to go into a nursing home.

And you will get rid of a useless politician while you are at it.

And now, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any more income taxes!
Is this a great country or what?
Now that you have solved your senior Long-Term Care problem, enjoy the rest of your week!

[vpFREE] Downtown Grand - New Promos and Hosts

Downtown Grand has a couple of new October promos on their website.

http://www.downtowngrand.com/offers/

Monday through Thursday in October, earn 1000 points ($2000 coin-in on
video poker) and receive $25 free play.

I tried this today and yes, it's good on video poker not just reels.
The free play did not show up automatically like it's supposed to
after I played 1000 points, but it was there as soon as I removed and
reinserted my card.

Fridays and Saturdays in October get 2x, 3x or 5x points depending on
card level. (Base points are worth .2% on video poker.)

For awhile Marty Larson was their only host. Now they have added Alex
Dunphy, David Risdon, Delmar Ducasses and Mark Ona. You may recognize
some of these from other casinos.

Re: [vpFREE] OT: Re: Medicare shocker coming 2016

From Financial Adviser Magazine What To Do About Medicare Rate Increaseshttps://shar.es/1uAa5L The cost of Medicare may go up drastically next year by as much as 50 percent for 15 million recipients not on Social Security, but it probably isn't worth starting Social Security to stop that increase, according to some advisors. Medicare premiums are deducted from Social Security payments. For those older Americans who are receiving Social Security, whether they are retired or still working, their cost of Medicare will not rise.

medicare.net is not the government website.
google medicare costs 2016
there is one article from the new york times and one from the wall street journal that sets the stage.

Something in the water here in Marietta I should know about??

Tom, rather than post details of some spam email, why not look for an intelligent discussion on the subject (such as: Medicare hold harmless clause and COLA - Medicare.net https://medicare.net/medicare-hold-harmless-clause-and-cola/

https://medicare.net/medicare-hold-harmless-clause-and-cola/

Medicare hold harmless clause and COLA - Medicar... https://medicare.net/medicare-hold-harmless-clause-and-cola/ In 2016, the COLA is expected to be zero (see chart below). This won't impact the majority of Medicare beneficiaries who fall under the hold harmless rule.

This website suggests that Part B premiums for the highest income group (currently $335.70) would increase next year to $509.80/mo.

I'm not saying that a near 50% increase ($174/mo) is easy to stomach, but it's unlikely to generate the concern of the $1000 monthly increase you cite.

"hold harmless provision" of Medicare says that if cola payments do not go up for social security (like 2016), the Medicare rates cannot be increased for most medicare people. How much are we talking? How about over $1,000 per month for the over $214,000 income category.

Re: [vpFREE] OT: Re: Medicare shocker coming 2016

I found this information trying to search for the actual rates for 2016. The validity of this, or anything on the web is suspect, but it was an article not someone selling something.
I will further investigate using your links. We shall see.

Thanks

[vpFREE] Rampart downgrade

The three $1/$2 10 play machines in the high limit room have been changed from 9/6 Jacks to 9/5 Jacks. I did not check the other single line machines in the high limit room, but the machines around the circular bar had $1 and $2 9/6 Jacks.

Originally there were no 2x point days in October, but we got a mailer showing that the 2x point days were re-established on Mondays for the remainder of the month.

Naturally we got the mailer on Tuesday 10/13 and could not take advantage of the 2x points on Monday 10/12.
