[vpFREE] xvp Joker's Wild area

I may have found out some Boyd Group insider information. An
environmentalist acquaintance told me Boyd would like to build a Hotel on the Joker's Wild
site but are holding back because of concern they could never get approval
because the ground under the property might be contaminated beyond repair by
waste dumping next door dating back to WW2 defense projects. The Landswell Corp
has plans to use the desert area between Jokers and Henderson Hyundai, 2200
acres, to build 1500 condos and some little parks. Early tests of the old
toxic ponds [brightly colored objects on the Google Earth photo] are showing
even radioactive substances. Myself, I never imagined Timet and all it's
predecessors were doing anything producing that kind of waste. Another problem Boyd
faces is they'd like to develop the vacant corner lot across the street from
the casino by putting a pedestrian bridge over Boulder Hwy. They are being
blocked by the CAT bus people due to CAT starting a MAX bus line up Boulder Hwy
to replace the 107 in 2009. I didn't quite understand how a bridge could
cause concern for a MAX bus but that's what the guy told me.

A side note. You'll notice on the Google photos two dark semi curves one
near Boulder Hwy and one up by the KDWN towers. An old Pittman resident told me
Elvis made the movie, "Speedway" on the auto race track that used to be there.
I bought the 68' film to see if any area mountains appeared in the
background. To my surprise the race sequences looked a lot like the Charlotte Motor
Speedway. In fact, exactly like Charlotte Motor Speedway. The rest of the movie
looked like inside a Warner Brothers Studio.

BTW, When I mention the old "Henderson Speedway" people confuse what I'm
saying with the dog/horse race track further south up the hill off Racetrack
Road. The speedway near Joker's Wild was built in 46'. The banked turns I
mentioned are still there but the asphalt have been mostly been removed from the
racing surface.

[vpFREE] Press Release: Boyd Gaming Consolidated Players Club Program

BOYD GAMING LAUNCHES `ONE CARD´ PLAYERS CLUB PROGRAM

Coast Casinos First of Three Player Segments under Company´s New
Club.

LAS VEGAS, NV - JANUARY 21, 2008 - Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE:

Re: [vpFREE] Best Use for Wynn Free Credit

Use it in a $5 white Star or White Ice slot machine. Play only one coin at a time. Good Luck! You should hit something in 20 plays,

Subject: [vpFREE] Best Use for Wynn Free Credit

Somehow, some way, despite us barely giving Wynn any play, even at our usual quarter level
(which we don't depart from unless we're on a good streak), Wynn has offered us a cheap (for
them) room with $100 Free Credit.

I am wondering how best to take advantage of this $100. I think I'd like to get some longevity
out of it, but possibly stretch the risk I typically take. Assuming that the one quarter JoB is
taken while we're there, what would you do? Hope that 20 hands of dollar JoB results in
something? Sit tight at quarter 7/5 BP? Go for the gusto and splurge on 100-play (and if
anyone knows what denominations and horrible paytables they have for that, I'd be interested
for the fun of it)? Or really let loose and try your hand at slots (shudder to think)?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Yeah..I'm way behind on my VPFree post readings. However, if you
remember I had a somewhat similar situation with NYNY and in
particular Steven Bernstein( msg. # 81652) and you replied to my
post ( msg. # 82707).
I've read some of your followup but the bottom line is still that
NYNY doesn't deserve our play and Steven Bernstein is a shithead !

[vpFREE] My First Royal

OK, it was on a very short pay 5c (5 coin) machine but it was my
first. The bar at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay has nickel VP. I
knew it was short pay, but it allowed me to practice in a real
environment and there's not much else to do at night around there.

I was dealt a 10h and 10-K spades on a DW game. I remember thinking,
ok toss the 10h and maybe I'll get a two - never even thought about
the Ace. When the AS popped up, I sat their in disbelief and told the
bartender, "Hey, I think I got a royal." Quickly cashed out and left.

My work brings me here about three times a year and I stay at the
Radisson attached to the casino. Last time, I won $1000 on the penny
video blazing sevens.

Just want to thank all on the board - I've learned so much about the
game and I enjoy reading all the posts. I remember when I first
started playing, I thought VP was just like a slot machine. Now I know
better.

To continue the story ... The Fiestas have sent out a mailer that
indicates they will be allowing 600 amigo points to be exchanged for
$1 in free play. I believe amigo points are new points earned
starting very soon (1/25?). I have no idea what will happen to the
old points and whether they can be converted to amigo points. Anyone
else know anything more about this program?

Obviously, as mentioned above, the close link between Stations and
Fiestas player's clubs is fading.

[vpFREE] Re: Wynn & Venetian question

I can't say for sure, but I've been getting some nice freeplay fro The
Venetian for very little play since I gave them my Diamond Card. I
think when I play at Wynn and get their freeplay according to my play
level, since it's higher now than before since I played there more
recently.
