The ghettoization of Fiesta continues. I'm half-expecting them to
stop allowing point transfers for any purpose at all when they
initiate the "Amigo Cards" later this month. They seem to be drawing
a dividing line between the Stations and the Fiesta/Wild West
properties. Depending on how the cashback program works (will all
points earned at 5X be redeemable?) this may make Fiesta a far less
desirable play for many of us.
Transferring points between Stations and Fiesta has been inconsistent
for years. In my experience, if you ask some boothlings to transfer
points, they'll do so without even asking why. (I've transferred up
to 100K points at a time, usually with younger boothlings.) Some
boothlings will only transfer the exact amount of the comp you want.
But if you really need to move points (at least for now) I think you
can still transfer points for a phantom food comp, then return the
food comp to the boothlings later. Those points will stay on your
Station account.
