NONE of the Dottie's are smoke free.
They do have NSUD in higher denominations
of $0.50 and up.
[vpFREE] Re: Question about Double Super Times Pay
Your question intrigued me so I started paying attention. Tonight I got a
dealt Flush which I held and then got an 8X multiplier. It came up in the
first card slot before moving to the left side. I believe that is the
only time that has happened in maybe 30 sessions or so.
This promotion may be self defeating since my results have been so
pathetic, I will never use my money in a casino on this game.

None at the West Charleston location either.
Re: [vpFREE] Re: Laughlin Harrah's DIAD
My base casino has always been Bally's in LV. I believe I read that DIAD
requires 4,000 base points which would be $40,000 coin in.
Thanks for your reply though

The Platinum/Diamond in a Day requirements used to vary by the property across the array of HET (now CET) casinos. There used to be a chart on their website. I have not looked for that page in awhile.
I do remember that Harrahs-Laughlin had the lowest coin-in requirement across the system in 2005 when I did DIAD (1800 Tier points). In 2005 it varied from 1800 to 4000 Tier points in a Day depending upon what corner of the world you were in. I imagine that has increased over the years. What do you think, doubled or maybe more?
I know there used to be some hassle for doing DIAD in a non-home casino. Is Laughlin your homebase? The digits "118" start on the Laughlin cards.

What is the coin in requirement for Diamond In A Day and if earned in Laughlin does it apply to all Harrah's owned and / or managed properties.

Frank, I see Konik is going to be your guest on the Feb 24th show. I've read
three books by Michael Konik. He's one of my favorite writers. He was the
gambling writer for Cigar Afficianado Magazine for several years. Two of the
books I've read, "The Man with the $100,000 Breasts" and "Telling Lies and
Getting Paid" are collections of his Cigar Afficianado articles. They were
very interesting books indeed.
I read "The Smart Money" when it first came out in 2006. I had no idea then
who the guy was that Konik was working for, (the guy running the sports
betting computer group)making those big time sports bets. But I think the
cat is out of the bag now. I think it was Billy Walters, an old time golf
hustler, poker player, bookie.
Billy Walters appeared on 60 minutes this past January 16th. If I could I
would post a link to the Billy Walters segment, but I'm pretty dumb when it
comes to that sort of thing. Maybe someone else could post the link. Anyways
I think you and Bob should take a look at it before you interview Konik.
P.S. The road trip is starting out rough. But it's just a matter of time.
Show me the money, honey. Good luck.

[vpFREE] Tomorrow: FEB 2011 vpFREE Lunch @ Gold Coast
Tomorrow: FEB 2011 vpFREE Lunch @ Gold Coast
The FEB vpFREE lunch is scheduled for Saturday 19 FEB at the
Gold Coast Buffet at 11:30 AM. Meet at the buffet entrance.
This is an informal, non-hosted, Dutch treat lunch, and
there's the possibility that no one will show up. Anyone
planning to attend should post an RSVP on vpFREE for
coordination purposes.
Anyone who agrees to host/attend a monthly lunch can select
a different location for that month's lunch, if they notify
me before the first of the month.
In addition, a vpFREE lunch (or dinner) will be scheduled
whenever any member volunteers to be a host and posts the
time and location details on vpFREE. Interested attendees
should RSVP on vpFREE.
Notes: Gold Coast may require a mandatory tip in advance for
larger groups who want to sit together. Buffets are usually
more expensive and lines are usually longer on weekends and
holidays. Send any pictures to me and I'll post a link to
them.
