[vpFREE] Re: Kings or Better Joker Strategy posted

This is nit picking but what the heck:

your "2SF 25, Q9" should be "2SF 23,24,25,Q9"

then right below it, just above joker with a "lone card" (or "mid-card") should be the hand "JT9 off"

Also, this strategy is good for a range of royals, I'm not exactly sure what that range is but I can guess it's about 12,000 to 8,500.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Tip Question

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. You must listen to ESPN 1100. The early afternoon show gets into great tipping discussions every now and then. You right if you tip 10 percent on winnings you should be tipped out 10 percent on losings. I mean if casinos only give 1 percent cash back on loses then shouldn't 1 percent tip outs be acceptable?

Thanks for your report from the Casino MonteLago reopening last night.

The only over-99% game you mentioned is 9/7 DB, which I believe along with 8/5 BP were the best games they had before closing last year.

If you or anyone knows exactly what denominations and number of lines they offer with 9/7 DB, let us know so they can be added to the database. Post here or click on "Submit Update" on the Casino MonteLago page of vpFREE2.

What I saw today at the Hard Rock LV is now in vpFREE2.

There is still one 25c 10 play 8/5 BP near the bell desk by hotel registration (original tower). The other two of these have been moved to the new area on the other side of the table games from the Midway Bar.

One of the MS STP is still in the area down the steps from hotel registration. The other one has been moved to the new area on the other side of the table games from the Midway Bar.

One 5 play MS is still in the same area down the steps from hotel registration.

Tips are funny in this town. I was listening to sports talk radio and the clowns said on a comped meal 50% is what the tip should be. REALLY?

I have talked to bartenders and in all honesty they have told me 100 is what they expect on a royal. Come on now!!! How bout the reimburse me 10% on my losses.

A few years back took my g/f and here parents to Austin's waitier got a 25% tip on the final bill including tax. The serveice was AWSOME.

Tip jars never. I laugh at all the people in this town who want a hand out.

Especially in today's environment, I'm not doing anything to get me in hot water if I can help it. Longevity is more important to me than anything. Last night in a local casino I saw a crisp $5 bill on the floor. I was tempted to leave it alone, but saw a guard nearby and I picked it up and gave it to him and explained where I found it. I was careful to note his name. I'm not doing ANYTHING wrong. If it had been $100 bill, I still would have given it to the guard.

[vpFREE] Re: Strange info on last night's Gambling With An Edge

Ok. That explains it. I never saw that mentioned anywhere else including "Bob"'s original column. This will be an interesting experiment on the quarter machines. The dollar machines, as I expected are not drawing any intelligent play at under 100% levels.

It's not that the same single offer regenerates, what they mean is that
a typical M Resort mailer would have you going multiple times a week to
pick up freeplay.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Tip Question

Call me strange but I've never understood the whole "tipping" thing in the casino. It's not as if anyone pays you for losing. Even when I was manager of a keno lounge downtown I would refuse tips FTP
Players of all they did were tipping me on doing my job of writing them a ticket. If I went above and beyond for them and negotiated comps or whatever then I would accept because I was going outside of my base job description. The only time I EVER accepted a tip for writing a ticket was when I wrote my own ticket out had it sitting next to the writing machine (by accident) a customer saw it wanted to play those numbers and hit 8 out of 9. He said he would have never won without me so I accepted because it was partly true.

Anyway comming from someone who used to be a part of the service industry I don't believe people should be rewarded handsomely for just merely doing their job or paid more because you won 10k instea of 1k. I also don't believe a server should be tipped more just because an entree cost more. If I get great service at Denny's and tip 20 percent or crap service at say Bobby Flay's and tip 10 percet. Is that person REALLY wothy of more money just because the total bill is more? It just kills me the sense of entitlement to tips in this town even if service is poor
