That would match what I posted. It sounds like you got 3039 Base Reward Credits, with no additional Bonus Reward Credits on the machines you played.

I'm sure Tom (one of the better known LV veterans) appreciates the platitudes.

Isn't 710 base credits $7.10? Did they give you 6,390 bonus reward credits for 710 base reward credits ($7100 coin-in)?

Re: [vpFREE] Re: An Interesting Weekl

I sometimes count how many failed 3 of a kind to 4 of a kind draws I
have before connecting.

Question: If I hold a pair, and the first card I get on the draw
makes 3 of a kind, should I count that as a "missed attempt" at
drawing 3 of a kind to 4 of a kind??

If I hold 3 of a kind and draw two cards, I can't see how that's
different to holding a pair, getting a third on the first card drawn,
and then drawing two more to try to make the 4th.

Thoughts?

I was at Rincon tonight and played some after having dinner in great company
with Coach Vee and his wife Hedy and had 710 credits for $71.00 in comps. By
the way I was lucky and hit a Royal tonight.

Thank you, do not just think it, be the ROYAL

Anyone else that goes to Rincon notice this is the last few weeks? maybe it
is a new 2011 policy :-/
I was there last 12/29-30 played 3039 tier points and got $30.39 TR credits.
I played mostly Double STP 3 handed/5 handed quarters and 50cent.
thanks

[vpFREE] Re: Virus Post XVP

CORRECTION

Some have pointed out that all Linux is not 100% immune to viruses.

That is correct. Ubuntu is not generic Linux, it is Debian based. All software is stored in a single central repository.

Debian based Linux, requires the manual installation of any virus you decide you simply can't live without, of which only about 28 exist. You would have to

1. edit a file called your sources.list (sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list)

2. Import the public key ( gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --search-keys viruses.com)

3. Type (sudo apt-get update)

4. Type (sudo apt-get install NAMEOFVIRUS)

5. Not to mention, typing in your password about 3 times.

It is possible to turn off some of this security. But note: it is enabled by default.

In summary.

Preventing Viruses in Windows requires adding virus protection.

Getting viruses in Linux requires turning off built-in security.

Not technically immune, but a nods as good as a wink to a blind bat.

Your statement is true with 100% mathematically perfect play. However, if your play is less than perfect, say 97-98% perfect play, the chances for the results that you received increases significantly. Also, keep in mind, if your play is at or very near 100% perfect, after only a couple thousand hands of good luck (such as 2-3 royal flushes) your results may then be at or even above the expected return .

I don't chart things like that, but normally when I start to play, I mentally keep track of how many times I draw to trips before hitting a quad. I play mostly 5 line vp. Recently, I began a session by going 22 consecutive attempts before completing a quad. That's 110 draws before getting a quad drawing to trips.

Earlier this week, my first 10 draws to trips, again on 5 line vp, produced 9 sets of quads!

You just don't know when these highly improbable outcomes (both good amd bad) are going to show up.

[vpFREE] Casino Email Marketing

Just an observation. Casino email marketing is awful. First, its rare you get an good offers. Its rare that you get any good information.

Take for instance, the email I just got from the Silverton about their "Stupid Cupid" singles event. They KNOW I'm married and would not likely be interested. Instead, they could have sent me a reminder about the free candy or a special offer for dinner.

But I have to give them credit, at least they SEND out email marketing. I've given my email address to all the casinos and rarely get anything.

When I do, its just mass market. The same they would send to all their players, in html flyer form. I wish they'd invest in some good marketing software where they could tailor the emails and send out some actual offers vs. the "hey, these are the things we've already send you in direct mail". I think its one of the reasons that they don't invest in good email marketing is that they don't see great response from their canned ads - so probably catch-22.

Anyway, small rant (just in case anyone in casino marketing is listening)

>>Is it just me, or does anyone else pass over the 8 paragraph post? Also,
why, when someone responds to a post, they repost the whole original post<<

Two important questions. I just HATE when people do not quote back a
little (but only a little) of the post they are referring to. And I generally
give up when a posting seems just too long and rambling - I work for a
living and play for fun and read novels, not long, long postings.
