[vpFREE] Total rewards gift card

https://www.totalrewards.com/e-totalrewards/content/pages/tr-giftcard-merchants.html

The above link is what IA came up with when I did a search for total reward gift cards. You can enter a state and see what is available. According to this list a lot of forum shop shops are included including Apple store. It makes no mention of 2:1, so sounds like 1:1. Until someone checks for sure, who knows if this is accurate. The old cards were discover, the new ones apparently MasterCard.

With the bonus system as is if you play 2500 or 5000 points it is pretty easy to accumulate points more quickly. I just hit 250000 points, good for a second $500 card. I'm now using up TR credits for free play and will use the card for food comps.

By the way u can no longer cash out more than $500 a day in free play. There may be some leeway though, Caesars let me do $700 by mistake, then said my husband could do $700. Odd.

I asked my host to send the gift card when I hit 200000 points, and the card arrived in less than a week.

Yes there are still some Lock and Roll slots at Cherokee, but the majority of slots there are regular ones.

From Vegasvpplayer:

Yes. All the no-multiplier stickers have been removed from the Gold Coast high limit room machines. I didn't test them myself, but the slot attendant said that these machines are once again eligible for multipliers.

Don't know about teh NC slots, but there are still tons of the Hot Reels around.  If you get 2 bonus symbols, it will hold them and give you another spin to possible get the 3rd.

[vpFREE] Another slot question

This update I'm doing to More Frugal Gambling is a major and sometimes frustrating job.  That is especially true with the slot chapter – so much has changed in these last 11 years since the first edition came out.  Anyway, below is a section in that slot section that I need current information about and I'm having trouble getting it.  Does anyone know if Lock and Roll is still in NC?  And are there Hot Reels still around anywhere – or machines that work like that??????

-------------------------------

"Lock and Roll is an interesting special-feature slot. These machines are found in Harrah's Cherokee Casino in North Carolina where, according to gambling writer Henry Tamburin, they "satisfy state laws requiring video games with a skill or dexterity feature." You can also find similar machines in Nevada and other states, with Hot Reels being one of the most common of these, which are sometimes referred to as "hold-and-spin" machines. With hold-and-spins, you're given a second chance to re-spin individual reels. They're similar to video poker, in that you hold the reels you don't want to re-spin and discard the reels you do. If, for example, the first two reels have jackpot symbols, while the third doesn't, you can hold the first two and discard the third, getting a second chance at hitting a winning combination. "

Re: [vpFREE] Bonusing Slots

<<The group has discussed the "must hit by" progressives. The "Aristocrat" versions are extremely common. Similar games made by other companies as well..."

Thanks for this good info.

I have had no response about other kinds of bonusing slots, i.e., like the old Piggy Bankin', that are wongable.  I wonder if there are none of these left?  Perhaps all these Wongers are scouting Ultimate X now?

[vpFREE] Re: TR gift cards

<<jean, using the cards, have you found any shops with electronics? thanks.>>

I have only used them for food so far, but I haven't explored other possibilities.  I know they are good in some (all?) Caesars-owned gift shops but I don't know what those shops stock.  If someone finds a place where we could buy electronics, that would be helpful information to post here.

Re: [vpFREE] TR Gift Cards Question

You begin to earn experience credits after the 150,000 qualifying tier credits. So at tier points 200,000 you have one experience credit, at 250,000 a second, etc. Each can be used for a $500 gift card or for other experiences, none of which have impressed most people.

I filled out the request online for two gift cards after I'd reached 250,000 tier points and received the cards in a few days. One of my simplest transactions with the Caesars system.

Do you get a TR $500 Gift Card only for the Tier Credits earned after the 150,000 tier credits or including the 150,000 ?  This didn't start until this year....did it?  I hope I didn't leave last years on the table !!  Please advise.
