[vpFREE] Re: Stations $525.5K Point Challenge - Mini Challlenge 1

Yeah I guess, I should have explicitly stated that I am talking about
single line, as counting all hands on multi-line would
be "cheating." As far as accuracy, since I don't have a buzzer that
goes off letting me know that I've made a mistake, I can't give you
an accurate estimate of how many mistakes are made. But I am
positive that I make more mistakes playing at that rate than I would
playing slower. I will notice a few mistakes after I make them, but
I am sure that more go unnoticed than noticed. But from the results
of the measely couple of years I've been doing it, I run right around
expectancy so i would venture to guess that I can't be making too
many mistakes. Of course, having a sample set of only a couple years
worth of play may or may not be large enough to be indicative.
Obviously, everyone could double their hands per hour if they always
discarded everything, but I'm sure that would get old after you lose
$10K on a nickel machine :)

Now unfortunately this is starting to sound like bragging which isn't
my intent. The purpose of my original post was just to state a
matter of fact that it can be done. And if there is someone out
there who isn't playing at that rate and is always trying to increase
their hph, I'm just letting them know they can do it. I have no idea
what the upper limit is; these are just numbers I can do. But I do
know that I am not the fastest of the people I know.

Obviously most people don't really care what their hph rate is, and
I'm not suggesting they should. I just always got impatient in
between jackpots and mini-jackpots so i kept pushing myself to get
more and more hands out. My posts are really just geared as
encouragement to those with the same neurosis :)

the only way 1800 hands per hour is possible is by using a feature
called auto-hold and never correcting the mistakes that it
makes.

My personal best is only about 1100 hands per hour, but I'm not a
particularly fast player compared to some people I know.

We are talking about a single line machine here. Certainly, 1800 hands per
hour is easy on 3-play or higher, if you count all the hands.

I maintain that 1800 hands per hour on a single line machine, with strategic
accuracy, is impossible. Does anyone else claim they can play that fast?
From what I've seen, 1500 is close to an upper limit. And for 24 hours, I would
doubt that anyone could play 1400 accurately. Opinions?

But then the game wouldn't win as much money. The average player
overvalues the wheel, because the average player thinks it's an
unweighted fair wheel spin, just like Big Six or the Money Wheel which
I have also seen called the "Wheel of Fortune". Also, all those "near
misses" (at one time a practice that the gaming board frowned on)
condition the average player to think that the next spin will hit the
big one.

That's total crap and nonsense, and an obvious lie.

I know a few players who can play 1300-1400 hands per hour, out of the
hundreds of pros out there. 1800 is out of the question, and that's with no stops
for W2-Gs (or other breaks), which occur every 400 hands or less on a $25
machine.

Realistically, on a $25 machine, even if you have an adjacent machine or two
in reserve, 900 hands per hour would be pretty strong. And for 24 hours, it
would be very impressive. As for 1800, dream on!

Pick'em is a Bally's game. The IGT version is called Pick a Pair.

The Bally's GameMaker only shows the payout for the amount played in a
dark blue rectangle in the top left quadrant and the background screen
is light blue as opposed to dark.
