I was wondering why your posts were absent. As a seldom poster but active player, I for one have gleamed more relevant and useful information from your posts knowing they are accurate and reliable. Hope to see more soon. Thanks, RedWolf.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Bob Dancer's LVA - 1 DEC 2015

A penny in 65 got you a full jackpot. Today a penny gets you nothing in fact 27 pennies get you nothing! Could be some drink hustling? But it's like betting only a .1 is very rare.

Just another observation: So before 65 you could play tablegames with a minimum bet of a silver quarter. Today, most minimum bets at tablegames are $5 and the casino is probably losing money on the overhead if that's all you bet. But, tablegames have at least adjusted for inflation. Interestingly, the slots have not. Adjusted for inflation, presumably you wouldn't see many slots with a minimum bet less than $5, but instead, many slots are in penny and nickel denominations. I know TITO has reduced labor costs, but the machines and TITO cashout boxes and card tracking software are more expensive. I wonder where the crossover is, but surely if all you bet is one penny, the casino isn't even covering it's overhead.

congrats !

See that all the time, love it. Bad players help casinos bottom line, dont hurt ours, in fact helps.

[vpFREE] Got my first Royal Flush in Vegas!

Hey everyone.
I just came back from a 4 day trip to Las Vegas. I stayed and mostly played at Main Street Station where on Thursday night I got my first Royal Flush in Las Vegas!

I also played at the Palms and took advantage of their 48 hour new member bonuses such as 2x points, 500 free points, and free play.

So, as a VP player of course I talk to other players who play along side of me and watch them play. I was just astonished that many of the players had no idea that a strategy even existed for VP play, and many just went with 'feelings' and 'hunches' making some rather strange holds. Of course, I never say anything to them about it or attempt to correct them, that would be rude. Most of the time players where holding a card when they should have tossed them all, missing 3 to a straight flush, or missing the inside straights when they should have hold them. Most of the play I observed for DB and DBB from most people was probably only giving them a low 90's return rate. With what I can see the majority of people playing like that, then the casinos have nothing to worry about and there is no reason to degrade the paytables at all.

Casinos I played at this trip:
Main Street Station
Plaza
Downtown Grand - where I got 4-aces with a kicker on the progressive!
The D
4-queens
Golden Nugget - just enough to get the promotion prize for new sign-ups
Cromwell - on the machines near the entrance that where good
Ballys
The Palms
Gold Coast

I mostly played 8/5 BP single line.

Overall, this trip was very successful for me and I hope to get good offers from a few of the above casinos I can can go back very soon.
