[vpFREE] Las Vegas Advisor LVA book 2013 used book

Anyone have a leftover 2013 Las Vegas Advisor that they no longer need ?

I will gladly send you postage as  we could use more coupons for our trip in Oct.

We  two old retired ladies are coupon lovers and this is the only way we can survive in Vegas.

Any help would be appreciated.

[vpFREE] Re: Re: [vpFREE_Chicago] Majestic Star II

I was there today and I believe the news is very bad!
They took out about half of the video poker inventory on the Majestic Star 2 including most playable games.

The ten "9-6" games that were on the right wall - GONE! (The six in the rear carousel are still there. - For Now!)
The couple of playable games in other carousels eg. 9-6 Jacks, 9-7 DB and 9-6 DDB - GONE!
The two machines on the right wall with 8-5 BPAF - GONE!
The good $5 machine is still there.
The slant top with 8-5-35 "Bonus" Poker - GONE! (They moved six of the fourteen games in that bank to the left wall but #7064 did not survive!)
The three STP games with 10-6-5 DB are still there.
The single machine on the right side (#7507) with 9-4-4 Bonus Deuces and several other 99%+ games - GONE!
The four machines on the left wall that contained 25c DBAF were moved to the Majestic Star 1 which now has eight of these.
The Super Triple Play machine has moved to a carousel near where it used to be.

I have updated the databases for both Majestic Star properties.
If anybody sees any good machine return, then please let me know. (Do not hold your breadth waiting!!)

Chaos at the Star ... I was there yesterday and almost everything I usually play was either gone, or moved and not yet reactivated in a new location. On Star I, the .25 progressive circle remains intact, as does the .25 DBAF circle nearby. On Star II, the .25 STP Double Bonus machines are still where they were, and so are the 4 or 5 "9/6" machines in the .25./.50/1.00 circle. Nothing else is where it was.

A lot of the machines involved in what a sign on Star II calls an "upgrade" are old, so I guess we can hope that the .25 BDW, 8/5/35 BP and the 9/6 combos along the wall will reappear somewhere, but, based on past history, that's probably unrealistic.

Thank You (I think since some "good" games might be included.)
I will be out there Friday (9/20) and I will adjust the database Friday night.

I was at the Majestic Star yesterday. They were removing 18 VP machines at the rear of MS2 2nd floor. I asked the mechanic what they were doing. He said they were taking the machines out. I asked what they were putting in their place. He said that they were not being replaced, the space will be empty. Slot mechanics are not the best source of information, but time will tell.

Thank you.  VPfree seems to be more confusing to my pea brain.

The administrator was away on a cruise and also had a minor operation last month, so approvals have been slow. Write her at AC@siona.org.

[vpFREE] RE: RE: AC Group

Well, this must be a function of the "neo" groups transition, but when I follow that link, I don't even see a way to request to join the group - just the "About" page that is blank and says "You need to be a member to perform this action."  Oy.

It's actually been several months since I originally requested to join.  A month ago I emailed the moderator to nicely ask if he/she could process me into the group, and I haven't gotten a response.  I just don't know what I am doing wrong.

On a positive note, on my last trip to AC, I finally hit a royal flush after a very long dry spell.  I had just downloaded some free play at the Borgata and held a JQ.  I hardly expected that to turn into a royal, but there it was!  Sadly, I was only playing quarters since I had just arrived and was just getting warmed up.  Still, any royal is a great royal.

Cheers!

M.

This was brought up in the last month or two - apparently there is a vpfree-affiliated group for Atlantic City. I've applied a few times, sent a message to the group admin asking if I needed to provide any specific info to be admitted, etc., all to no avail.

I'm disappointed. I've found the VP community to be so generous in sharing insights, perspectives and even the "secrets" of the best machines via the database. I've really enjoyed being part of the community, even if I'm a part-timer and can only contribute a bit. When I can, I know I'll "give back."

So I guess I'm wondering if others are having the same issue about AC specifically and if there is a call for building a new AC group that won't be so exclusive. Obviously would rather be part of the existing group, but perhaps that's just not "in the cards."

Thanks for your thoughts!
