If you click on "About Rankings" on the vpFREE2 Rankings page, you will see an
explanation of how the rankings are derived. They are not based on each casino's video poker offerings, but on the number of times that casino's pages have been viewed by users of vpFREE2.
Here's a direct link to the explanation: http://www.vpfree2.com/rankings/about
Note there's a link there to supply feedback to them about the rankings.
Re: [vpFREE] Car-a-Day
I wonder if cardholders like me who have been excluded from promotions such as bonus points will be excluded for car drawings?

[vpFREE] Car-a-Day
STATION CASINOS TO GIVE AWAY $5M IN CARS AND CASH DURING
FEBRUARY CAR-A-DAY GIVEAWAY
Promotion largest and most nostalgic in Company's 35 year history
(Las Vegas, Nev.)- Station Casinos will give away 200 cars and $400,000 in
cash February 10-29 during its "$5 Million Car-A-Day Giveaway" promotion.
All 10 Station Casinos and Fiesta locations (Aliante Station, Boulder
Station, Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho, Green Valley Ranch resort, Palace
Station, Red Rock Resort, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station and Texas
Station) will each give away one car per day during the 20 day promotional
period. The $5 million giveaways in 2011 and 2012 are the largest promotions
in Station Casinos' history.
Generous promotions with cars are a long standing tradition with Station
Casinos that date back to the company's founder, Frank Fertitta Jr., who
created the original "Car A Day in May" promotion. In the 70's and 80's,
Fertitta saw many casinos tout a single car as a prize, but rarely were they
given away. He created the "Car A Day In May" promotion with a commitment to
create several winners by giving one car to a customer each day of that
month. The company, now run by his sons, expanded Fertitta's legacy by
reviving this idea and expanding it last year to a promotion worth millions
of dollars and an opportunity for guests to win a car a day at multiple
properties.
Drawings for the "$5 Million Car-A-Day Giveaway" car winner will be held
daily, beginning February 10, at 8:15 p.m. in each casino. Vehicle winners
will be able to choose from four select Chevrolet models: Camaro, Sonic,
Silverado and Cruze. In addition to one car winner each night, four $500
cash winners will be drawn at each location, which breaks down to a total of
50 big wins each day across Southern Nevada. When the contest is completed,
there will be a total of 1,000 wins guaranteed from the promotion. Winners
do not have to be present at the drawing, but prizes must be claimed within
24 hours.
The contest eligibility period for members of the free Boarding Pass rewards
program begins on February 6. Entries are good all month long and must be
activated by swiping rewards cards at Boarding Pass kiosks by 8 p.m. Members
of the program will get one entry for every 50 slot points earned at any
Station Casinos or Fiesta location. Additional entries may be earned by
playing table games, live poker, bingo and with select race and sports
wagers. Boarding Pass members will also receive 10 free entries daily
February 10-29 just for swiping their cards at a Boarding Pass kiosk.
Full contest details are available at www.stationcasinos.com.

What is really funny is that I liked the FP Machines..Husband liked slots..but we haven't been back since the downgrades. I can find what I like elsewhere..and slots are pretty much slots anywhere else.

RE: [vpFREE] Pay schedules
vpfree has a couple of options.
The vpfree2 site has a large list.
vpfree also has a link to a number of paytable websites. vpgenius.com
probably has the largest and if you see one not in that list you can alter a
related paytable to get an answer.

Subject: [vpFREE] gaffed NCL Epic VP & also the Palms & Palms promotions
Date: Mon, Jan 30, 2012 10:42 pm
Played some single line DDB at Palms tonight and sure enough, lots of
quads. It reconfirmed my feelings that the NCL Epic VP didn't just have bad
pay tables, but was gaffed. I don't usually play single line (play a lot of
3/5 play) but on the Epic that is all I played so I wanted to reconfirm how
a real machine played. Definitely a major difference.
Also I noticed that the Palms is continuing to remove machines. No longer
any machines by the coffee shop/hair salon. Also the "slot emporium"
machines with bonuses are now moved to near Little Buddah.
Palms seems to have lost a major amount of business, and is never nearly as
busy as Gold Coast, just across the street. Little Buddha (my favorite
restaurant and home of the best sushi in town) now is closed Mon. and Tues.
The spa by the hair salon is closed (Drift Spa in the new tower is open).
The little booth promoting tanning is closed. Looks like the tattoo
parlor is now closed. Machines in front of tables are all gone.
If I were the Palms, I would make the buffet a Chinese buffet
Monday-Thursday, with a big advertisement on the sign outside, to attract more of the
nearby Chinatown residents, just as Gold Coast does. Also promote the new
Cathy House section of the coffee shop more. Promote Little Buddah's Asian
Fusion and sushi. Put a big sign outside for Brenden Theater showing the
top movie titles. Promote and add more Asian table games.
Also stop giving the gifts Mon, Wed. Fri, and go with 2x or 3x point
promotions - on the big billboard. I got the booze tonight - too heavy to
carry around! Some of the gifts they have been giving are ridiculous. Maybe
they'd do better with Gift Cards, like some of the other local casinos do?
I remember when the Palms first opened, they had a "Hawaiian buffet" with a
small band one night a week and the lines were huge. Bring it back.
Seems like they have lost a lot of their nightclub-going people. Maybe
they should promote and advertise gaming and eating on the big sign, instead
of bands and singers. Right now I think the sign says Kelly Clarkson in
April, that is pretty far out to advertise and kind of a waste of the big
sign. I heard some people saying the Playboy club is going to close, I have
no idea how true that is, but it would seem like a major blow to bringing in
nightclub-loving people.
The Palms never has "real" slot tournaments like other properties such as
Harrah's, MGM, etc. - you know what I mean, $50,000 in prizes with 3 free
room nights, sent out in mailers to out of towners and good playing locals.
Instead they have those "local" type slot tournaments for a week. How
about doing some of the "real" ones aimed at bringing in longer playing &
bigger players?
In short,it seems to me the Palms marketing really needs an overhall.
While business at other strip casinos seems to have picked up quite a big, the
Palms looks sickly to my eyes.
