(It's been years since I've been to Terrible's, so the following is
history.)
A few years ago, Terrible's had a lot of pros who knew how to work the
system & dominated the drawings & promotions, sometimes unethically. One local
pro couple dominated a Waterford crystal promotion to the point that there
was little left for other players. I never was in LV long enough to take
advantage of its many promotions since most of them required you to come back
at a later time. I only played it because it was the favorite haunt of a
local friend who always urged me to get my gas & other trinkets using their
monthly promotion magazine. It was also a good fallback in case you ran out
of places to stay. Promotions combined with the good VP always gave you
something to play but does anybody remember its predecessor? I think it was
the Continental casino & the quarter Double Double Jackpot had a return that
was 102% if I remember correctly. This was before computers.
