RE: [vpFREE] Re: Tip Question

I think Cheap is a more appropriate word than thrifty.Karma can be a bad
thing.You know Just Saying!

$5 for a $10,000 score isn't thrifty, its more insulting. You are better off
not giving anything.

RE: [vpFREE] Hard Rock is now downgrading single line VP????

I did read in Casino Player magazine that the HRH has a GREAT blackjack game with two decks. Minimum bet for the game is 100 dollars. It's getting to the point where the best game in most casino's in Blackjack. The big thing to do for this game is to slow play and hide chips to show much greater loss than actual. Although this is a grey area.

For me 8/5 Bonus Poker is not playable for any length of time.

I need 9/6 jacks or better or NSU deuces to sit for a session.

Have to be some huge perks to play any lower paytable.

I know 8/5 bonus poker is becoming the new "good game" but I think I will have to stop gambling if it comes to that. You can't make up in comps what you lose in money. Not counting the time it is tied to a 6000 coin progressive that is.

There has to be multiple promos happening to play that game.

[vpFREE] Re: Mr. Lucky's price increase was Hard Rock is now downgrading single line VP

I like Mr Luckys and with the platinum discount its reasonable. Next time I go I have to scout the rest of the casino because it gets worse every time I go. Warner came from a stations casino background so I was hoping they put back in some full pay like they had 5/6 years ago. I guess his strategy has changed from when he managed the gaming at stations.

I posted earlier about some of the downgrades but I hadn't checked the old casino area. Are you saying the 9/6 single line JOB is gone now too.

The outside Electronic billboard advertises the new progressives with an "up to 102.5%" payback on the machines. So when the progressive reaches 102.5% percent it has too hit? I thought this was strange wording.

[vpFREE] Re: Kings or Better Joker Strategy posted

Good point, I was assuming "3ST 3-Way" was only T98 to 654. The other hands (QJT,JT9,543) have lesser value because they use K or A to complete. An option would be to specify: "3ST 3-Way J-6 high".

REPLY: I often rent a car for only part of a Vegas stay. In this situation, I take "The Deuce" bus south to the Rental Car Center. There's a bus stop right on the corner. The one-way bus fare is your only additional cost, and you almost always can get a much cheaper car rental rate at the airport facility. This also gives you a free ride back to the airport on the facility's shuttle at the end of your stay.

[vpFREE] Re: Casino Montelago

More about Casino Montelago (and thanks, Sai Sai, for your extensive report):
We did not get the postcard that bettiepage21 posted about, even though we had been members of the previous players club and live just a few miles away. We asked about this, and were told that they had sent out stuff according to zip code, and were going to send out mailers next week that include coupons. If we did not receive anything, we could check back with him personally, as he gave us his contact info.
Spouse and I were there around midnight of opening. Lots of friendly staff wearing suits but no ID, so we had to walk up to people and ask, "Do you work here?" if we had questions.
Maybe a good low-roller play is the 3:2 virtual BJ. Bad rule is that you can only split to two hands, which brings the house edge to 0.6.%
I did find a game on one machine that was mislabled. The paytable, according to my Jean Scott scouting guide, is over 99.9%. Bet that won't last too long. Hmm, Frank did say he was going camping...

Ten play up to 25 cent. There may have been another bank that went higher on 10 play. Didn't get to check every single one. Keno is the 810 for 5/5 variant. Lots of strange and interesting penny slots. One wall has reels, three of them are multi-denom to dollar, the other are 25 cent. Several electronic blackjack tables and a electronic roulette table. Snack bar and regular bar. Everyone was pleasant even though it was 4:30 AM. Actually quite a few people playing. Machines are spaced nicely. They give you a temp card which will be permanent on the 31st and then you can claim your bonus freeplay. They are still doing work there so there may be more to come.

Intelligent play is NOT part of the marketing stradegy.
People see a what they think is high Royal a dump a few dollars in the machine hoping to get lucky. All will lose very quickly unless they hit that Royal.

The break even point on these games is HIGH! This is due to the fact that the base paytables are set so low. Over 11,000 coin Royal, or about $2750 for quarters. They are approaching that number with the added 4000 coins M kicked in for the quarters. However the marquee outsid eis blantant false advertising. Someone misplaced a decimal point. It is not 102%, but 100.2%

It won't be high enough for any teams to play is my prediction. Someone putting in $20 will get lucky and win, like the 1st Royal that was hit. Gonna be a long time for it to be playable again.

M is making a fortune on these games from all those $20 that get deposited.
