OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE means.

I understand that you are trying to compare two totally different
situations. One has OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE to back it up and the other
has a small chance of coming true. Santana never won a WS for the
Twins, but I did enjoy attending his personal best strikeout game
this past summer.

Try to get your arms around what I stated. The Big Bang is considered
a FACT by cosmologists. Evolution is considered a FACT by
anthropologists, etal. There are many, many other examples but I'm
sure you will simply ignore them too.

subsequent events prove that one or more of those predictions was
correct. That does NOT make those predictions, retroactively, factual.
To help you understand this, my prediction that the New York Mets will
win the 2008 World Series isn't a FACT (even if I really really really

there are a number of other things that people feel very very very
very certain of, and turn out to be incorrect--so I take no
consolation from your certainty.

I've had it happen at least a half dozen times, that the slot
floorgoon refused to pay me, because somewhere on the coupon or the
rules sheet it said, "NO WILD CARDS". I would ask them where the $%
@#$# was the wild card in a final hand of KKKK8, and they would just
shrug. It ain't worth the hassle--trust me.
It's obvious that this goal isn't shared among ALL VP players on
this board. The rather ludicrous assertions, from obviously
otherwise intelligent people, that Vegas VP is NOT going down the
toilet, make me think that those persons have a little private stash
of good plays--and they're not ABOUT to tell the rest of us about
them.
It is manifest that there are still SOME good plays in Vegas, as
evidenced by those players' rather preachy statements that all that
us lazy bums have to do is GET OUT THERE AND SEARCH, search, search
until we find those good plays. In the meantime, they say, stop
bitching about the 0.00000000000000000
The trouble is, most of us have LIVES--and most of us live somewhere
besides Las Vegas. We don't have TIME, on a casual weekend trip, to
sift through a mountain of dreck just to find a few decent VP
machines. That's what the VPFree database is supposed to be FOR.
Now, if there's a SECOND, subsidiary, PRIVATE "database" that lists
all those wonderful plays that the locals are asserting still exist,
well, that's a different story.
I don't think it's impossible to make some kind of decent living as
a VP-trolling Vegas local. I do think, however, it's ludicrous to
claim that it hasn't gotten MUCH harder.

The kokomo bar at the Mirage is no longer comping drinks for players. They did when we were there in Oct. The new policy started in Dec.

As of 2:30 pm it was flat....$4013.
I was over at GVR earlier playing the new bank of 6 Optimums near the
poker room. An attendant was working on one of the machines of the
bank and I asked him what the ratio of coin to points was since there
were no signs on the machines. I told him I heard the ratio was 4:1.
He got on his walkie-talkie and called someone to ask. When he got
off the radio, he told me it was 2:1.

In addition to requiring less people to run a room full of these
machine rather than with live dealers, these machines allow for a
higher hands/hour rate than a live dealer.
So that means the house rake per hour is higher and its costs per hours
are lower.
