I'm noticing that plays only get mentioned when they are down-graded. I understand the need not to mention upgrades and good plays in a public forum because of the risk of burn-out.
I thought it was worth mentioning that I spent my entire last week on upgraded machines and promos worth in excess of a 2% edge. I actually had more on my plate than I could handle.
It's not all doom and gloom out there...at least not yet.
If you thought last week that there was nothing to play in town, you really need to improve your scouting. It was like Christmas come early.

Not sure where you got the misquote from me for 90k royal cycle. But that is not correct. The exact cycle length per my caculations is 351,817.7 hands. TomSki

[vpFREE] Soaring Eagle highest available payout promotion
The huge Soaring Eagle casino in MI is advertising that they have hundreds of "Certified Hot" machines, i.e. machines that have the highest payout available from the manufacturer. This reminds me of the Reserve (now Fiesta) of about a dozen years ago, when all of the VP machines had the highest payout available (but not slots.)
Has anyone been to SE since this started?

[vpFREE] Re: Dancer's Deuces
I remember these machines well. I played them many times at Fiesta. The pay scales posted are correct. The machines also had hand rests built into them.

[vpFREE] Re: XVP: Advantage and Fox car rental
I have used Fox both in LV and SF and they are the same as the rest of them. Alamo used to be the best in LV but their prices shot up years ago.

Dollar has been my primary in Las Vegas for years but the price and condition of their vehicles lately is disappointing.

Reminder: APR 2011 vpFREE Lunch @ Gold Coast
The APR vpFREE lunch is scheduled for Saturday 16 APR at the
Gold Coast Buffet at 11:30 AM. Meet at the buffet entrance.
This is an informal, non-hosted, Dutch treat lunch, and
there's the possibility that no one will show up. Anyone
planning to attend should post an RSVP on vpFREE for
coordination purposes.
Anyone who agrees to host/attend a monthly lunch can select
a different location for that month's lunch, if they notify
me before the first of the month.
In addition, a vpFREE lunch (or dinner) will be scheduled
whenever any member volunteers to be a host and posts the
time and location details on vpFREE. Interested attendees
should RSVP on vpFREE.
Notes: Gold Coast may require a mandatory tip in advance for
larger groups who want to sit together. Buffets are usually
more expensive and lines are usually longer on weekends and
holidays. Send any pictures to me and I'll post a link to
them.

[vpFREE] OMG, Atlantic City granted approval to steal players money!!!
This is unreal. All sanctioned by the NJ Division of gaming enforcement.
Casinos are now allowed to remove a progressive jackpot before it hits and keep the money!!!
The DGE agent lists two reasons why this is ok and BOTH reasons make no sense whatsover.
reason 1: nonprogessive games can be taken out of service before a jackpot is hit, so why not a progressive. HUH!!!!????? there is no meter movement on a nonprogressive.
reason 2: it allows casinos to remove unpopular games right away instead of waiting for jackpot to be hit. N/A since all you have to do is transfer it to another progressive and problem solved like they currently do.
What is next??? Allow gaffed machines since players are going to lose anyway, so lets just make them lose faster?
