It sounds like Boyd is backing down on some of their changes. Maybe they don't want to lose too many of their Emerald level players.

I received a letter today from Bconnected dated 11/26 explaining why
they added tier credits. It says they added tier credits to my account
as a thank you for my "continued loyalty over the past year".
In my case they added over 10,000 tier credits which put me just over
the 15,000 needed for Emerald good through 2019.
