Re: [vpFREE] Re: LVRJ: Cosmopolitan Promotion

Please note that these are not scams or rip offs.  The two Casinos below give
you actual promo cash you can use in almost every slot machine at their Casino.
Its not like others that make you play on games that are set to never hit.
(Hooters ran a promo that only allow you to play on 6-12 games that do not pay
cash.)

I just completed this promotion last week.  Basically, take a $100 bill out and
play until its gone or you hit something large enough to walk away from the
promotion.  They told me at the club that it was your "net" loss that matters,
not your theoretical loss.  Once you lose your actual $100 they will provide you
$100 in promo.  That simple!

Tropicana is running a similar promotion, but theirs is lose $200 and get $200.
Same thing here, you must actually lose $200 in one trip.  Once you do you get
$100 in promo immediately, but the catch is your other $100 in promo does not
activate until 1 month later.  It is good for one year though, so I will have
that $100 waiting for me on my next trip to Vegas.

That's not the way it worked for me. It took me a while to lose the $100. I
might have played $800 and had $700 in coin out and I got the $100 in free play.

I will, if no one else does it first.

I totally believe you when you say how confusing the club soothing presents this. Most of them have to have their disseminated info checked, double-checked, and then checked again just so you can be 90% sure of the actual policy.

I may have misunderstood then. She did say that "many players are confused

by this" (in context to how it worked), so I'm not sure what she was

referring to now since it seems that it's straightforward.

Hopefully Rob can clarify when he gets back from his visit.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: LVRJ: Cosmopolitan Promotion

If so that's borderline scam. Who would think like that going in? So if you play dollars and hit a royal on your first hand, then decide to take a dumb pot shot on the $10 machine out of an over-confident feeling and lose $5000 over the next hour or two--you get nothing but a "thank you for your play" on this promotion?

I'll be there for the first time next week. I'll play one $100 hand also.

My understanding is

(a) You have to lose $100 AND

(b) Your coin out will be deducted from this

So if you are playing $10/handle pull, and you get 10 Jacks or Better in a

row and then lose your $100 in the next 10 hands, you will receive nothing

because you had $100 in coin-out.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: LVRJ: Cosmopolitan Promotion

It was a poor attempt at humor. Considering this bet is 80 times what I
normally play, a $25,000 royal would have been just fine by me.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: LVRJ: Cosmopolitan Promotion

I thought players had to lose $100 to get the $100 in free play. Did you break even and still get the $100? I played the $10 Double Double. I assume that's better than playing a short coin $25 machine. I would have played until I was $800 or so ahead.
