I meant to post about this, but forgot.
I was at the Cosmo last week and signed up for the card. They explained the
$100 as follows: it seems, from my understanding, that coin out is deducted
*AGAINST* the $100. So if you put in $100, and lose it all, but along the
way you won $30.00 here and there, they would reimburse you $70. The lady at
the booth mentioned that "Many people are confused about that." And of
course I'm thinking "Of course they are, because it's misleading and no one
thinks that way."
So anyway, the "optimal strategy" is to play 1 hand at $100. I went to their
high limit room and did play one hand of 4 coin $25 deuces wild. Since I was
betting short, I would have been PISSED if I hit the royal. Thankfully I
didn't - I did get 3 of a kind though and cashed out. The most boring
possible outcome ...
